09. Against the clock¹

Genesis.

Ts-19.

                       WHILE RICK AND SOME OF their group went down to the basement to look for a way to stop the decontamination, the rest returned to their assigned rooms and started to pack their bags in case they needed to make a quick getaway from the building. As the annoying noise of the ventilation turned off, Melissa didn't know if to be relieved or afraid.

She didn't panic right away, she stood on the couch and waved a hand underneath the vent but nothing came from it. She was not imagining it and she was growing a bit anxious.

A frowned look was shared with Andrea, they both had been packing and talking about minor things although it was mostly Melissa doing the talk, which was weird because Andrea was the talker while Melissa listened.

Melissa climbed down the couch and walked wearily over to the door, peeking her head through it to find the others there as well, the same confused look written in their faces as they glanced around, Andrea came to her side, seeing the same thing as she placed her bag to the side of the door.

Jenner made his entrance to the hallway and passed by them, he was wearing his lab jacket and he ignored every question thrown his way, that until he passed by Daryl and grabbed the bottle of whiskey from his hands, "Energy use is being prioritized."
