Capitolo 18

Ae's POV

This time I was waiting for Deanna outside my gate. I saw Deanna walking so I immediately looked at her seriously and said.....

"It's so late. Where have you been?" I seriously said but she just looked at me seriously too.

"It's none of your business." Deanna seriously said while walking briskly into their gate.

Until now Deanna is still mad at me and she continues to avoid me so I could do nothing but watch her enter their house.

When I saw Deanna's light on in the living room, I turned to go inside my house when suddenly someone called my name.

"Ae." Ricci called my name while his hands in his pockets so I immediately confronted him. He walked in towards me so I was just standing outside my gate.

"I love Deanna Bianchi... And I also know that Deanna loves you." Ricci suddenly said.

"Buti alam mo." I immediately answered without any facial emotion.

"... She will not be yours. I will court her." Ricci said and give me a annoyedly smile so I took a stepped into my gate.

"Then good luck." I said last and closed the gate. Deanna will never be yours.

From then until the next many years... She was mine.

Deanna's POV

Nasa gilid kami ng wall ni Ricci para magchismisan like, hanging out in the classroom is boring.

"... Deanna, gusto kaba ni Ae?" Ricci suddenly said so I immediately raised my eyebrow at him.

"Malamang hindi." I immediately answered. Ayun si Ae? Tatanda atang binata 'yun. No, Isabel and him are already dating.

"Our fathers are best friends, pero hindi ibig sabihin non bff na din kami. " I added.

"Hindi eh. May something talaga— Tsaka nga pala, Deanna. May pinaplano ako. Tutal hindi mo din naman masagot yung tanong ko." Parang manghuhula naman 'tong isang 'tong kung mag-isip. Humarap agad ako sa kanya kasi curious din ako sa sasabihin niya like para kaming chismosang kapitbahay.

"Hindi ka sure if walang feelings sa'yo si Ae. Let's see. I talked to him yesterday. Sinabi ko na I love you–" Ricci hadn't finished speaking so I immediately laughed.

"Hahaha. Siraulo. Are you out of your mind? That's ridiculous." I chuckled.

"Sige, tawa pa— Kung magiging possessive or even seloso. Alam na. Ano? Okay ba?" Ricci added but I just chuckled.

"Ewan ko sa'yo hahaha." I chuckled as I shaken my head.

While I was in the middle of a laughed Isabel suddenly bumped into me. so I immediately straightened up and worriedly to look at her.

"Gosh I'm sorry. Sor—" I immediately said but I hadn't finished speaking when she suddenly shouted.

"What the hell, Deanna. Why you're always reckless? Can you just look around if there's anyone?" Nagulat ako sa sinabi ni Isabel like, parang kasalanan ko pa eh siya 'tong bumunggo sakin. Nakagilid na ko, ang luwang-luwang pa ng hallway para mabunggo niya ko.

"Watch your words. You bumb into he—" Ricci hadn't finished speaking when Ae suddenly came.

"Go to your classroom." Ae ordered Isabel so she walked away from us but before she left, she rolled her eyes at me first.

What the— Kababaeng tao, walang modo.

Two minutes passed and Isabel finally entered the classroom but Ae was still standing in front of me until now so I had the courage to talk to him.

"You can leave now." I said to Ae without any facial emotion.

"Are you the owner of this hallway?" Ae seriously answered so I swallowed my saliva and scratched my head. Wala talagang kwentang kausap 'tong taong 'to.

"But I can buy this hallway for Deanna if she wants." I immediately looked at Ricci when he suddenly spoke.

Ae was surprised by what Ricci said and seemed even more angry. Si Ricci, rich kid 'yan pero yaman lang siya meron, walang talino. Real talk 'yan.

Uwian na. Ang boring talagang maglakad mag-isa. Sana kasi magkapitbahay na lang kami ni Cian. Siya kasi yung taong hindi boring kasama, hindi kasi nauubusan ng chika. Maybe all the gossip Cian knew.

I saw Ae standing outside my gate so I suddenly stopped walking and turned around to run away from him. Iniiwasan ko nga siya. Nasa labas na siya ng gate namin so that means he was waiting for me.

Damn. As I was running I suddenly stumbled because I was startled by Snoopy's barking. Ouch! Aray ko! Ae immediately ran towards me. He slowly lifted me up and sat me on the small wall next to our neighbor’s plant.

Two minutes ago but no one spoke to the two of us. I was just staring at our gate while Ae was standing and looking at me seriously. Hindi siya mukang may gusto sakin, mas muka siyang Tatay ko. Yung eyes niya dinaig pa ng titig sakin ng Tatay ko.

Ae sat next to me so I immediately looked to the right because I didn’t want to see him. Iniiwasan nga eh. Kung kaya ko lang tumakbo, kanina pa ko pumasok sa loob ng bahay namin pero the fuck, my ankle hurts.

"..... Deanna, I'm sorry." Ako'y biglang natauhan— Sorry? Ano? When I realize that Ae was serious about what he said, I slowly looked at him.

I saw his sad face and seemed to regret what he had done. Ano bang ginawa niya? Eh ako yung nanipa. Nagpapaawa ba siya? Like, sabog kaba?

"Please forgive me. I hope we get along again." I couldn't move at what he said and my heartbeat seemed to speed up. In Tagalog, hindi ako makagalaw sa sinabi niya at parang kinikilig pa ata ako kasi ang bilis ng heartbeat ko. The hell.

I want to get up para nakapasok na ko sa bahay, wala naman kasi akong sasabihin sa kanya. I was standing safe and well, I almost lost my balance it was good that Ae stood up immediately and touched my waist.
