Emily was so excited to have a female tutor for our Hip-Hop class. We could tell that the tutor already had a connection with Emily as they chatted and joked around during the class. She was so knowledgeable about the genre and was able to help us all improve our dancing skills. It was a great experience to learn from someone who was passionate about Hip-Hop.

Despite the tension in the air, Emily still found time to help the old man. She smiled as she lent him a hand, talking to him and listening to him as they worked together. It was a kind gesture that showed her true character, and I admired her for it.

She's so kind and compassionate!

Halfway through the dance battle, Emily sat in one of the benches and gave me a thumbs-up. She had been observing me throughout the class and was proud of my progress.

She knew I was nervous and wanted to let me know that she believed in me. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me.

With Emily's encouragement, I felt like I could take on the world. She had faith in me and that gave me the confidence to keep pushing myself and striving for success.

Knowing that she was in my corner, I felt ready to take on any challenge.

When it was my turn, I was so nervous that I could barely move. I was sure that I was going to make a fool of myself. But then, Emily started cheering me on from the sidelines and it was like a wave of confidence washed over me.

I felt ready to take on anything, and I threw myself into the dance battle with gusto. Unfortunately, I was so enthusiastic that I almost broke my back in the process!

It was so embarrassing.

When it was the end of the dance battle, we won because of J-Hope's break dancing, it was then Emily came over to me with a worried look.

I was so embarrassed that I could barely look at her. I was sure that she was disappointed in me, but instead she smiled and gave me a hug, telling me that it was okay and that I had done my best.

"How's your back Jungkook?" Emily asked concernedly and I couldn't bare to look at her face after what had just happened.

I just shook my head, feeling as if I had let her down.

"I'm fine," I said quietly, still looking away. Emily's face softened and she put her arm around me, her comforting presence washing away my worries. "It's alright," she said with a gentle smile. "You did your best and that's all that matters."

"Aw, come on, you did amazing," Emily encouraged, touching my hair again like she had done the day before. Her touch was so gentle and comforting that I almost wanted to put her hand back on my head when she removed it.

I looked up at her, and I could see the sincerity and admiration in her eyes. I smiled back, feeling a wave of warmth and appreciation wash over me.

I could see Taehyung out of the corner of my eye, watching us with a look of envy. I was so happy that he was jealous of what we had, this special bond between Emily and I.

I felt a rush of pride knowing that he could never have Emily the way I could, that only I could get her love and attention.

When we got home, Emily had to leave abruptly after having a phone call with somebody on the phone. I could tell that she was scared by the look on her face, but she didn't say anything about it. She just said she had to go, gave me a quick hug, and then she was gone. I couldn't help but worry about her as I watched her leave.

I wondered who she was talking to, and why it had scared her so much. I was worried about her, but I knew there was nothing I could do but wait until she returned. . . .

"Where have you been? Have you been ignoring me?" Marcus yelled angrily, grabbing my hand roughly.

I flinched in surprise, my heart racing as I tried to process what was happening.

"Marcus, what are you doing here? I haven't been ignoring you, I've been busy," I said, pulling my hand away from him. He looked at me with a mixture of anger and rage. His brow furrowed as he tried to make sense of what I was saying.

"What do you mean you've been busy? What have you been doing?" he asked, his voice rising in volume.

I could feel the tension in the air as I remained silent, my heart pounding in my chest. I wanted to scream at him, to tell him to leave me alone and never come back, but I knew that if I did, I would be in more danger than I already was.

I had to find a way to break our promise without risking my safety. I had to find a way to protect myself without breaking the promise we had made.

Everyone knew about me and Marcus's relationship and about how he had become. Growing up, he had been kind and gentle, but his father had been abusive towards his mother and himself, which had caused Marcus to become increasingly volatile and unpredictable.

He's just following what his father did, mimicking the behavior that he had been exposed to for so long. It was clear that he was struggling with his own demons, and even though I wanted to help him, there was only so much I could do.

"You can't even lie to me, I saw you with some boys two days ago! Who were they?" Marcus continued to yell and I opened my mouth only to shut it again.

"Ugh! You are so annoying you know. You're lucky that our parents made a promise. If not, you would probably be on the streets by now," Marcus commented before turning to walk away.

I watched him walk away, my heart racing as I let out a sigh of relief. I knew that this was not the end of our problems, but for now, I was safe. I had found a way to protect myself without breaking the promise we had made.

As Marcus walked away, I couldn't help but remember the promise our parents had made. He was right; the only job I had was being a caretaker and I only made 10 dollars a day, not even enough to feed myself.

The only reason why my family was living under a roof was because Marcus's parents were wealthy, and our parents had made a promise that me and Marcus would be married in the future. It was a promise that I had no intention of keeping, but it was the only way to protect myself from Marcus' anger and volatility.

There was a memory that flashed through my mind and I smiled without any particular reason.

It was the memory of Jungkook when he smiled like a bunny, his eyes twinkling with joy, and his cheeks dimpling with delight.

That was the same smile he had given me when I had told him I wanted to be independent and take care of myself. He had understood my dreams and had promised to always be there for me.

I knew that no matter what happened, I could always count on Jungkook to be a source of comfort and support. . . .
