Over breakfast the following day, Y/n sat at the Slytherin table with Grace and Theo. Almost everyone sat around impatiently awaiting the start of the tournament. Bets have been placed between participants throughout the day. "What do you think the task is?" Grace inquired as she scanned the great hall for any clues. Y/n shrugged, honestly unable to answer the question. It was silent and Theo was looking down at a book without paying attention to them.

"Theo," Y/n called, furrowing his eyebrows as the boy looked up from his book. "What do you think the first task will be? They still have not announced anything about it beyond the fact that it would be dangerous..."

"I don't know," Theo muttered, looking across at the two girls across the table. "Do you think Draco would be able to locate any information?" he asked, knowing that Lucius would not discuss what the task was with Draco because he may not have had the knowledge to do so. In passing, Y/N noticed Harry was not eating at the Gryffindor table.

He immediately noticed someone staring at him, as well as glancing across the table at the girl. He felt relief immediately and nodded towards the entrance to the Great Hall. After furrowing her eyebrows, Y/n nodded and turned back towards her friends. As Y/n crossed her legs and made her way out of the Great Hall, she said, "I have to use the restroom, I'll be back...".

She exited the great hall and was followed by Harry as she walked towards the Astronomy tower. Harry was directly behind her as she ascended the spiral staircase. "The first task is Dragon's," He said to the girl without giving her an opportunity to respond.

While looking at the boy, Y/n furrowed her eyebrows and crossed her arms to her chest. "I would expect Granger to assist you." She responded, her voice laced with sarcasm, staring directly at the boy as he furrowed his eyebrows. Y/n noted that she may have sounded more jealous than she actually was. "I-I just mean, is Granger helping you? With it?"

"Oh, yeah," Harry nodded as he viewed the tower during the day. "Er...I spoke with Sirius," he continued as Y/n's mood became tenser. She responded by humming as he continued. "ah, and he told me Karkaroff was a death eater-"

"I am aware", Y/n replied coldly, unfolding her arms. "He attended meetings all last year; myself, Grace, and Theo discussed it once he arrived...".

"Do you believe that he put my name in the goblet?" Harry asked, "Because you know more about him than I do...".

Despite the fact that Karkaroff was a death eater, she did not expect him to be the one to put his name in the goblet, since he was concerned if Krum could make it in. "There is a possibility that he would prefer fewer participants because it would increase the odds that Krum will win. That is all he wants, after all..."

"How do you know, Sirius said he stopped being a death eater..." Harry explained looking at the girl who shrugged and made her way towards the door of the tower to exit.

"No one ever stops being a death eater," She simply said with no emotion on her face, looking and walking away from the boy. "Bonne chance, Potter" Y/n continued before turning to her heel making her way down the steps once more. Harry hoped soon he would be able to talk to her more, without her getting mad, or annoyed and walking it. (Good luck, Potter)

Following her journal writing and a discussion with Grace, Y/N slept well. Upon awakening on Monday morning, this was the first time for her that she wanted to go over and speak with Harry about the tournament. It felt weird that she cared about Harry usually it would be her just caring about her mother, Grace and Theodore. But as she looked around the Great Hall at breakfast time, and thought about what the other champions had in mind. "Want to go over to the Ravenclaw table, I want to ask Fleur about it-" Y/n said to her two friends after they found out what the next task was.
