Grace and Y/N arose just in time to eat breakfast. The two girls slept in the same bed last night, with Grace holding Y/n in her sleep after returning from the lake. The two met Theodore in the common room, as he sat in his Slytherin robe. Y/n wore the same while sitting on the leather couch across from him, along with Grace.
As people started to make their way to the Great Hall, the common room was mostly empty. While the common room was dark and the ocean glistened through the windows, the surrounding area was still bright. During the time the three were seated around the fireplace, it was blazing sweetly.
"Draco bashed Harry's nose in?" Theodore asked, looking over at Y/n, while she sat next to Grace. Y/n shrugged, not being interested in discussing Harry in any way. "Well, He was bragging about it in the dormitory...nothing changed much-"
"Do you fancy Pansy?" Grace asked as she sat up on the couch with her arms crossed in an interrogation fashion. Awakened, Y/n sat upright with her legs crossed. She furrowed her eyebrows as she rubbed her eyes. "She was saying rubbish in the dormitory last night-"
Looking at the two young women, Theodore shook his head. "It was father's idea for me to ask her out, and try and get me to like her-" Theodore explained, "But she is kinda clingy don't you think?"
"No" Y/n sarcastically said with a grin before sitting up and standing up, before her two friends stood up. As the stone wall slowly pulled back, the three of them began to make their way out of the common room.
Slytherins looked at Y/n and whispered to each other while she walked past as she walked through the dungeon, inspiring her to keep her head up and walk confidently as if it didn't bother her that she was once again the centre of attention for something bad.
"I love being a sixth year. Generally speaking, we will have more free time this year," Grace replied, grabbing hold of Y/n's free hand as they walked back and forth. Theodore turned to her as they walked. "Whole periods when we can just relax and chill out," she said.
With a small smile, Theodore shook his head and explained, "That is not the way it works.".
Grace nodded her head while holding onto Y/n's hand. "For me, it is," she concluded.
As the squares of sky visible through the high mullioned windows were serenely blue and streaked with wispy clouds, so too was the ceiling of the Great Hall. Through the windows around, the light glistened in the Great Hall, while the candles above provided the comfort people needed.
Daphne had joined Y/n, Grace and Theodore when she wanted to eat lunch with them today. They tucked into porridge, eggs, and bacon together.
"Everything okay?" Y/n glanced at her, pausing her conversation with Grace about 70's music.
"I just came by to check on you," she explained, looking over at Y/n as she sat right next to Theodore, who sat across the table from Y/n and Grace. Y/n, however, was the focus of Daphne's gaze as she glanced over at Theodore, who was talking.
She lied by saying, "Yes, everything is fine.".
To be honest, she felt better than she had all week despite the fact that Grace and she had a nice moment together. She still missed Sirius and even Harry. But she considered that keeping it from herself was the best option, in hiding from the truth.
From now on, she would devote all of her time to Quidditch.
It was the memories that kept her from moving forward; they were so painful to recollect the memories of the time when she had no cares and was happy, even though she and Sirius did not keep in contact, they remained family to her.
