Y/N POV

Andy held my hand when I a contraction, smiling at me gently when it passed.

"You know, you don't have to stay," I panted out

"Trust me, I'm right where I wanna be," he smirked when I blushed

"If you say so," I weakly smile at him

"I say so,"

Hours passed, the pain increased and so did my grip on Andy's hand. His knuckles were white and I could see him gritting his teeth, so I let go.

"Damn girl, you've got a grip," he laughed, flexing his fingers

I laughed back but broke off in a cry of pain.

"I'm gonna go get a nurse," I just nodded to him

I was breathing deeply, clutching the bed rails beside me. Time seemed to crawl as I waited for Andy to come back.

"Ok, let's check on the baby," my doctor said loudly

Andy rushed back to my side, keeping his eyes on my face, giving me my privacy as the doctor flipped my gown up.

"A guy usually has to buy me at least a hot dog before seeing me naked," I joked to him

"I'll buy you a hot dog later," Andy chuckled back

"Well, you've only progressed to 6cm, that's not very good considering you've been here since about 8 am. If you don't dilate any more, we'll have to talk c section," Doctor Michael's gave me a sympathetic smile

Looking to the clock, I noticed it was almost 11 at night. I threw my head back, feeling like a failure and tears coming to my eyes. Andy was rubbing my arm lightly as the doctor left, making me turn my head towards him.

"Why do you care so much," he smiled again, his eyes soft

"Why do you care so much," he smiled again, his eyes soft

"Because I can. And I'll be here, I'll hold your hand no matter what," he said softly

"Thank you," I whispered to him

He leaned in and kissed me forehead.

"You're welcome," he nodded

The hour passed and I was now being wheeled into the OR room, Andy by my side in scrubs. The room was cold and a bright white, a nurse moving around my head gently smiled and pulled up a seat for Andy.

I listened as doctors and nurses prepped my epidural catheter and told me to remain calm.

"Ya know," Andy whispered to me

I turned my head to him.

"When you first walked in and I seen you for the first time, I have to say, I thought you were the most beautiful woman I had ever seen," he whispered to me

"I'm taking you on date," he whispered again

I can't wait.

"And here she is," Doctor Michael's announced happily

A piercing cry echoed throughout the room, a happy cry leaving me when i heard it. Andy had a huge grin on his face, tears in his eyes also.

"She's beautiful," he muttered to me

4 weeks later

I was finally able to drive again, not surprisingly, a c section can keep you from doing a lot of things.

"Andy," I hollered, walking into his house

"Yeah," he asked rounding the corner from his hallway

I stopped in my tracks, Lydia wrapped in my arms.

The man was shirtless and my body was letting me know just how long it's been since I've got any

The man was shirtless and my body was letting me know just how long it's been since I've got any.

"Miss lydibug," he cooed taking her from me gently

My lucky daughter rested gently on his check, blue green eyes blinking up at him. Her pink hat covered up the full head of black curls that rested there, so he gently pulled it off.

"Don't want you getting too hot huh," he muttered to her, kissing her forehead

"Good morning beautiful," he kissed my cheek

"Good morning. Not that I mind, but where's your shirt," I giggled when he blushed

"You just caught me getting dressed is all," he mumbled

He kissed Lydia's forehead again and handed her back to me with the promise that he'd be right back. He jogged out of my sigh as I sat down on his couch.

"You like him huh," I whispered to her

Her answer was to close her eyes and I smiled. I reclined back, her head on my shoulder and closed my eyes.

Just for a few minutes, I told myself.

Such a lie.
