"So how long have you and James been together" Rhodey says while sitting down next to me handing me a cup of coffee

"Thank you. And we're not together" I said I know he could hear the sadness in my voice

"Not yet" there he is

"Behave Raven I just got him back I need to go slow at first" I wanted to be on the same level as James before I did anything

"Aeron?"

"I'll give it 2 days" I can practically feel him rolling his eyes at me

"What the hell is that supposed to mean you prick??"

"Aeron..."

"You suck at keeping it in your pants when it comes to you and him in a room alone we both know that"

"IT WAS ONE TIME AND I WAS HORNY!" I yelled at him

"Aeron." Rhodey lightly hits my shoulder

"Sorry lost in thought what did you say?"

"I asked you what's holding you back from asking him" he looks genuinely worried

I shrugged my shoulders and looked back at my laptop sorting my documents and emails

"I don't know I guess I'm just afraid it won't work out in the end" I'm technically not lying but I'm not telling him everything either

"It's blatantly obvious you have a little thing going on for him but you want to know a little secret" now I'm fascinated. Wait do they know I'm gay?

"And what would that be? Because I already know James has a vintage Captain America comic wrapped around his calf 24/7 for when he gets bored" he's going to kill me for that...oops

"I-" wow I made him speechless

"Oh if that's not it then what was it you were about to tell me?"

"I'm not going to ask. But James would talk about you every day. You are his world and losing you would make him go insane. He felt horrible for not looking for you hard enough and felt like he could have done more" and now I'm the speechless one

I just stare at him. I can't seem to find any words

"See now go give him a blow job to make him feel less guilty"

"RAVEN!" 

"I'm sorry Bruce needs me up front. But all I'm saying is he needs you like you need him" that's all he said before he put his hand on my shoulder and walked away

I finished sorting everything on my computer now I'm standing on the enclosed deck looking out on the horizon listening to Linkin Park it's about 3pm and I haven't ate since yesterday.

So I started making my way to get a snack from the mini fridge and I hit a wall

"Shit I'm so sorry I wasn't looking" I stumbled back

"It's alright no worries. I don't think I met you yet I'm Valkyrie" I shake her hand

"I'm Aeron"

"Ah the new recruit welcome I hope Thor and Loki have been behaving themselves" I haven't seen much of Thor but Loki and I have talked every here and there

"They have actually surprised Loki hasn't tried anything else" I think pulling a gun on him made a wonderful first impression

"If they give you trouble you know we're to find me" she gives me a small smile and continues walking

"Oh and if you see a person about 5' 6 and has antennas she's very friendly" she adds turning around

"Noted and sorry again for running into you"

"It's alright" she winks then goes back to walking

"Let me out let me out let me out" I haven't shifted in a few days so now he's begging me to shift

"Alright, alright calm down I gotta lock the door"  I lock the door and get undressed I felt my bones begin to break and grow and soon I shifted into Raven

~Raven POV~

"Fucking finally" I stretched out and let out a low growl

"Can't do that shit here man I can't risk someone hearing" god he's so scared all the time

"Relax I was stretching" I roll my eyes and walk over to a mirror

I have forgotten what I looked like since it's been so long since I looked in a mirror. I have black fur with a little purple at the end and a long black mane with purple eyes. I honestly forgot how big I was but I can bet I was taller than the average lion

"You done feeding that ego of yours" it's been 2 damn minutes

"Fine but you have to take me to the woods tomorrow I need to run" I'm probably going to be sore as hell after

"Deal" I started to shift back into Aeron

~Aeron POV~

I got dressed and belly flopped on the bed. God I missed it more than I thought. Shifting again felt good I need to do it more often though

I heard a knock on my door

"Come in" I sit up

"Dinners ready. Everyone wants you there so either I pick you up and throw you over my shoulder or you can come willingly" James has his arms crossed over his chest and a freshly shaved beard.

"How lovely you remember how much I hate eating dinner with other people" I glare at him

"That's why I gave you two options love" he walks over to me and crouches down
