Regulus's mother convinced you to stay for dinner so you did

And you met Regulus's dad who was very proud of Regulus to date someone from the greengrass house

"So y/n how did you meet Regulus?" His dad asks as Regulus was eating with one hand while holding your free hand tightly

"Oh at Hogwarts, he's my cousins friend and Nora set us up thinking we'd be perfect together." You say and his parents nod

"Well she was correct." His mother says as Regulus nods as he looks at you

"Yes I am so pleased Nora introduced me to her." Regulus says as Sirius just ate his food quietly, his parents pretending he didn't exist

Which you felt bad for him as he just listened in but pretended not to

He just ate and when he left no one acknowledged him it was like he was invisible

But you were snapped out of your thoughts when someone asked you a question

"You have a little sister? Very interesting." Regulus's mother says and you nod

"Yes I do, my dad wanted a boy but he got two girls he's gotten over it now." You say and Regulus's dad nods

"Well If Regulus and the other one were girls I wouldn't have been happy, like Druella and Cygnus black all girls." Regulus's dad says and you nod as you go back to eating

"Oh my dad wasn't happy at all with having two girls, he tried for another kid but my mother had a miscarriage healers say it was a boy and he was furious." You say and everyone was shocked which it wasn't too much of a lie, your mom did get pregnant doctors said it was a boy by 7 months she had a miscarriage, but your dad wasn't furious he was upset and was happy to have two daughters

Regulus was terrified his parents would figure out the truth but they didn't, and completely bought it thank Merlin

'I am so glad they bought this, now I can be with y/n normally and hopefully marry her in the future, and my parents won't ever know the truth, I hate how I have to do this but I have to if I wanna be with her. One day we'll be able to be together without worry but that day hasn't come yet.'
