It's you

Jennie's eyes widened at the question. The bubbling curiosity inside her crept through her skin and she blurted out, "I do."

Y/N inhaled deeply and nodded. This was her chance to know if Jennie felt the same about her or not. She closed her eyes and said, "It's you."

"What?" Jennie asked not being able to believe her ears.

Opening her eyes, Y/N confessed, "Kim Jennie, I like you. I like you so very much."

Jennie stared at her, mouth agape and not believing what she heard right now. Stepping forward, Y/N hesitantly cupped her cheeks and caressed them with her thumbs, saying, "I like you, Jennie. More than a friend should do."

"Wake me up if it's a dream," Jennie breathily said as a lump formed in her throat and her eyes glistened with tears.

Y/N lowly chortled and said, "No, it's not a dream, Jen. I... like you. And it's okay if you don't. This will change nothing between us. I can remain as your friend--"

But, Jennie interrupted her by putting her index finger on her lips and saying, "I like you too, Y/N. I like you too. So freaking very much."

Y/N's lips turned into a smile and she let out a breathy laugh, saying, "How could you not guess that I liked you?" Jennie removed her finger and furrowed her eyebrows. "I mean, I kind of dropped so many hints. How did you not get it?"

"Because I'm too dumb to notice? "she replied and Y/N shrugged, saying, "Maybe?" And that made Jennie burst into laughter.

Y/N smiled fondly at the melodious harmony of her laugh. She gazed at Jennie, whose eyes crinkled at the corners and her gummy smile with puffed cheeks. Discreetly snaking her arm around Jennie's waist, Y/N pulled her closer and grinned toothily.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Jennie asked as she rested her hands on her shoulders.

Y/N tilted her head and said, "I'm just so happy that you like me too..."

Jennie earnestly looked into her eyes and replied, "There's no reason for me not to like you. After everything Jongin did... your presence made me apprehend that I never loved him. It was just a mere infatuation."

"Well, then, what's my reward for that?" Y/N asked, "If I helped this much. You should treat me something."

Jennie grinned and asked, "What do you want?"

"Surprise me."

Jennie's heart thrummed in her chest and she said, "Close your eyes then." Y/N furrowed her eyebrows but Jennie pouted and gestured for her to do so.

Closing her eyes, Y/N said, "It better be a nice surprise."

Y/N stood there with eyes closed, waiting for Jennie to say something but the next moment she felt something soft and plump against her mouth. She snapped open her eyes to see Jennie kissing her.

Her breath got caught in her throat and she felt Jennie's arm snaking around her waist. Jennie pulled her closer and slowly moved her lips. The feeling of euphoria settled in her chest and she felt herself on cloud nine.

Y/N found herself surrendering to the elated feeling and reciprocated the kiss. Jennie smiled against her lips while fisting the cloth beneath her hand. She hummed in between the kiss and Y/N tilted her head a little while cupping her cheek with her right hand.

Jennie couldn't believe how amazing it felt to kiss Y/N. It was nothing like she had with Jongin. Y/N's moves were soft and yet gave a tingling sensation all over her body unlike Jongin's that were always rough and chaste.
