So it was official. Eddy has pancreatic cancer.
The dam of emotions had already broken down as Eddy started to sob. The doctor nodded and left them to give them some time together. Why must this happen to him? Is he really that unlucky? Soon enough, Brett was crying along with him.
“W-what are we…. we gonna do now, Brett?” Eddy asked as he choked another sob.
“Don’t worry, we’ll figure this out alright? You’re s-strong and I know it.” Brett replied as he hugged his best friend tight.
They were hugging each other for as long as they could but Eddy knew he had to stay strong not just for him but also for Brett. He slowly detached himself from the hug and looked at his friend’s eye “We can do this.”
Soon enough, they were both told that it’s probably best to stay in the hospital for them to be able to keep track of Eddy’s health and hopefully faster healing. Eddy wished he could stay back in the apartment but he knew this was for the better.
Eddy was soon admitted to a room and he felt so awful
