The Eternals were constantly moving, following any traces of the deviants and following Ajak's because she was the only one who knew about Arishem's plans. In every new place and with time passing, the Eternals grew to be more and more like a family.

The group knew about the special bond they all had with certain people in the group, the strongest being Sersei and Ikaris, the chemistry between the both of them was undeniable. It seemed as though they were the only ones left to figure it out.

But y/n also noticed how Makkari and Druig were with each other, growing closer and closer with time passing, and although Druig always had a special place in his heart for y/n she couldn't help but feel like it would never be the same as what he had with Makkari.

The night of Ikaris and Sersei's wedding,  y/n and Druig had gone out in search for some more food as usual when y/n was trying her hardest to build up the courage to ask Druig the question that had been haunting her for centuries.

"What's wrong?" Druig nudged her.

"What?" y/n was snapped out of her thoughts.

"You've said all but 5 words since we left the ship, I can normally never get you to stop talking." Druig wasn't very good at showing it but he did get worried when he saw her like this.

"It's nothing." y/n just couldn't bring herself to ask.

"Hey, please talk to me." Druig came to a halt and made her turn to face him.

"Are you gonna make me talk to you?" y/n fluttered her fingers expecting Druig to use his powers.

"If you won't do it on your own then yes," Druig smirked.

y/n hesitated but all of a sudden it was like she had this newfound courage and she didn't care what reaction she might cause. "Are you in love with Makkari?" She blurted out and her confidence was soon replaced with fear. "You made me ask you!" She realized what he had done.

"I only gave you the confidence, you did the rest." Druig lifted his hands up defensively.

y/n sighed annoyed but she was just hoping for an answer now. "Ok well, are you gonna answer?" she avoided eye contact.

"Why?" he asked

"Why what?" she was confused.

"Why do you want to know." he brought his hand under her chin gently turning it so she would face him.

At that moment she knew, that the feelings she thought she'd been hiding for centuries, had never actually been hidden, the way he looked at her, he'd known the whole time. It was like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel hurt knowing that he had known for centuries about her feelings for him and things were still the way they were.

"You know why." y/n replied grabbing his arm gently and pushing it down so he no longer touched her face.

He took a breath ready to say something else when they were interrupted by Sprite running up to them. "C, mon the wedding is about to start." Sersei and Ikaris were getting married tonight but it seemed time had slipped through Druig's and y/n's fingers.

Sprite took hold of y/n's arm, dragging her away from Druig who's mouth was still slightly open ready to say whatever he was going to say, y/n wouldn't now, at least not for now.

y/n stood next to Makkari, Druig soon joining her side. y/n didn't turn to look at his friend until she saw half a piece of bread in front of her, he was holding the other half. She half smiled taking it from his hand. y/n was so distracted with her own thoughts and watching Ikaris and Sersei, only wondering if she would ever have something like that, she didn't even realize Druig's eyes were glued to her the whole time, not even bothering to turn to the married couple once, she was his sole focus.
