The motorcar pulls up outside YN's house and the chauffeur gets out and opens the door for YN and Glynda.

YN: That was a wonderful evening, was it not?

Glynda: It was, I haven't enjoyed myself that much for the longest time.

YN: Well, we'll need to make sure that you enjoy yourself even more, as Mrs LN.

Glynda: Mrs LN, I like the sound of that.

Glynda: So, should we tell my students?

YN: Tell them about the engagement or the fact that I am related to some of them?

Glynda: Well, the fact that you are related to some of them is something you can tell them in your own good time. And the fact that we're getting married is something that we can tell them together at a later date.

YN: Good idea, we'd want to get everything in order before we announce that we're going to be husband and wife.

Glynda: But before all of that is done, you must meet my parents. They'd love to meet you.

YN: Have you told them anything about me?

Glynda: I've told them the broad strokes of our relationship. But I must tell them that you proposed to me.

YN: Should I be nervous about meeting your parents?

Glynda: The recipient of the Ace's badge in gold is scared of meeting two people in their sixties?

YN: It's different meeting someone that you have to talk to instead of fire at, especially when they are going to be your future in-laws.

Glynda: I'm going to be honest with you, you aren't the first soldier who I've dated.

YN: And in all fairness you aren't the first teacher who I dated.

Glynda: I should have expected such an answer. But back on the subject, I previously dated the head of the Atlesian military.

YN: Ironwood?

Glynda: Yeah.

YN: . . .

Glynda: It was a long time ago.

YN: I'm not angry, it's just that I'm thinking it'll be even more awkward if we meet up again.

Glynda: What do you mean?

YN: Well, I'm dating his ex and also, I'm the reason why his hand is mechanical.

Glynda: What did you do?

YN: I'm only responsible for his lack of a hand, the rest of it was not my fault. Back when he was a lieutenant he attacked me in a bar and we got into a fight. He drew his gun, I drew my sword, I was able to leap over the table and close the gap before he could ready his weapon properly. But he did get me in the side.

YN then lifts his shirt and reveals a faded scar just above his left hip.

Glynda: That must have hurt.

YN: It sure did, he was using fire dust. I honestly didn't think I was going to walk away from that one.

The two then kiss and head to bed to do perfectly acceptable adult things together.

The next afternoon, the two of them slept in, YN lazily turns to his bedside clock and shoots out of bed.

Glynda: What's wrong?

YN: Velvet and Coco are moving in today.

Glynda: So?

YN: They'll be here in thirty minutes and I'm still in my pajamas!
