Glynda: I have no idea how to make Michael stop crying. Can you do it YN?

YN: Sure. (Picks up Michael) Hush little baby don't say a word, papas gonna buy you a mockingbird, and if that mockingbird don't sing, papas gonna by you a diamond ring, and if that diamond ring goes dull, papas gonna buy you a cart and bull, and if that cart and bull tips over, papas gonna buy you a dog named rover. (Michael stopped crying as soon as YN stated the song)

Glynda: How come you are so good with kids?

YN: This isn't my first rodeo.

Glynda: Right, I forgot that Michael wasn't your first child.

YN: No, my first was my little princess, Salem. She was something else. She had her mother's intellect and her old man's spirit. She was the most beautiful little girl there ever was.

Glynda: When did you have her?

YN: When I was about thirty.

Glynda: (in head) Holy shit, YN is Salem's father!(out loud) What happened?

YN: She lived a good life, but it wasn't a long life. I can at least say that I was with her at the end. (Sigh) I miss her so terribly. But that's all I want to say about that now.

YN puts Michael into his crib and leaves the room. YN then turns to Glynda.

YN: You seemed shocked when I said that my daughter's name was Salem. What do you know?

Glynda: I don't know anything.

YN: We both know that that is a lie.

Glynda: Ask Ozpin, when we return to Vale, he knows something.

YN: I will most certainly do so.

It is at this moment, when the phone rings. YN then passes Michael to Glynda and answers.

YN: LN family residence, Mr LN speaking.

Ozpin: YN, how have you been?

YN: I've been well, is it a safe presumption that you are calling to congratulate myself and my wife on the birth of our son.

Ozpin: While I wasn't specifically calling to congratulate the two of you, I'll still do so.

YN: Thank you on behalf of my wife and myself. But if not to congratulate us, why were you calling?

Ozpin: I was going over the reports of your last campaign, you took heavy casualties.

YN: We did indeed, inexperienced officers will tend to cause such problems.

Ozpin: Anyhow, a number of the reports commented on the issue of poor equipment and the lack of proper training.

YN: All issues to be expected of such a small force with such haste put into its raising.

Ozpin: While I don't doubt your abilities and judgment, might I suggest attending a military exposition, Atlas is hosting one later this month and I was thinking that it'd be a good learning experience for you and your students.

YN: I presume Ironwood will be hosting?

Ozpin: Yes.

YN: I make no secret of it, I am quite opposed to the man and he is to me.

At this moment Glynda walks in.

Glynda: What, because I used to date him?

YN then turns on the speaker.

Ozpin: Hello Glynda, but anyhow, why do you dislike him, he seems perfectly fine

YN: He shot my horse from under me and then later fought me.

Glynda: Was that the fight in which you took his hand from him?

YN: It was indeed, I think I still have it in a jar somewhere.

Glynda: That's rather morbid.

YN: He shot my horse, I would have taken his head if he hadn't shot me as well.

Ozpin: Is there anything I can do to convince you to go?

YN: There is one thing, and you must swear to me that you'll do so.

Ozpin: Sure.

YN: Tell me where my daughter is.

Ozpin: Pardon?

YN: Salem.

Ozpin: If you go, I promise to tell you.

YN: I shall go for her. Besides, Glynda wished to see the mountains of Solitas, this will give us a chance to do so.

Ozpin: Wonderful, I'll pass on the message to your students, those of which who can go.

YN: Teams RWBY and JNPR, I presume.

Ozpin: Of course.

YN: And CRDL?

Ozpin: Your opinion?

YN: In my opinion, they are little better than thugs and bandits, they break when they are put to any serious issue, and tend to break off, even on a successful engagement, that being to plunder.

Ozpin: But you yourself have plundered.

YN: I have plundered, but never when the success of a battle hung in the balance.

Ozpin: So, CRDL?

YN: As an Officer, I feel that little will come of them. As a teacher, I feel that this could be a valuable learning experience that I shouldn't deny them. And as an individual, I'd like to see them squirm when they're expected to behave properly. But with the school's best interest at heart, I feel that their accompaniment would be an embarrassment.

Ozpin: Then if that is your opinion, they will stay behind.

YN: Will my students be transported at Beacon's expense, or is it to be private initiative on their part.

Ozpin: We'll pay for their attendance and train tickets, they'll then pay for the ferry, not a great cost on their part.

YN: Very well, and accommodations?

Ozpin: Those will also be paid for.

YN: Wonderful, send me the details and I shall then forward it, with additional instructions to my students.

Ozpin: Good, Remember, it starts in twenty days, should be long enough to get everything in order.

YN: Remember, I'm doing this because of what you'll tell me when it's done.

And with that YN hangs up the phone and kisses Glynda on the forehead.

YN: I shall have to get my dress uniform out again, and we'll have to find something truly beautiful for you too.

Glynda: Why?

YN: Because knowing Ironwood, but more importantly, knowing the people of Atlas, there will be a gala, and why would I wish to not attend with the most beautiful woman on Remnant.

Glynda: You flatter me.

YN: On the contrary, I defaulted to an insult.

Glynda looks quite taken aback.

Glynda: What do you mean?

YN: Merely describing you as the most beautiful woman on Remnant does no justice to your incredible mind.

Glynda then blushes and looks away. YN then gently lifts her chin with his index finger and kisses her on the lips.
