( season 1, episode 5 : a fair world )
Later on, after the thirty minute warning for lights out was announced, the group was building themselves a barricade.
Jiwon was with Gihun, moving one of the bed frames to cover an empty spot.
" Hey, Ji." Someone called her name out, and she sighed, looking through the bed frame to see Deok-su walking over.
" Don't call me that." She deadpanned, leaning against the frame. He only smirked.
" I appreciate the work you're doing." He tapped the side of the bed frame, eyes never leaving Jiwon. " Nice."
" But do you think these will do anything? We can get through all of this easily." He cackled, all too confident for her liking.
" So, you're not worried at all?" His brows furrowed, not understanding what she said.
" Those assholes on your side. You really trust them?" Jiwon challenged, and his face fell, glancing back at the men who were fencing with some poles.
" If it was me over there, which it very well could have been..." She pointed at the men, enjoying seeing the man shaken up.
" When the fighting starts, I'd kill you first." His nervous expression met hers, and she smirked.
" You're the strongest person here, after all." She left him with that, Gihun helping her move the bed frame so he was covered. She could hear him cursing as he walked away.

Later that night, after the lights went out, Jiwon had managed to fall asleep. It wasn't a great way to sleep, as it was filled with nightmares, but she was getting rest.
When she was awoken, she practically jumped up, hand on her chest. She looked over to see that Ali had woken her up, and he looked concerned.
" It's your turn to watch." He explained, and Jiwon nodded, swinging her legs out of bed.
" Are you ok?" He asked, standing from his crouch. " Looked like you were having a nightmare." Jiwon waved him off with a smile.
" No, I'm ok. Thanks Ali." He nodded with a smile, and Jiwon walked over to the edge of a bed frame, sitting down and swinging her legs over the edge.
Her sister came and sat beside her, and for once, it was a comfortable silence.
" I wanted...to say sorry." Saebyeok's voice broke the silence, and Jiwon looked over, listening intently.
" I'm sorry for leaving you and Cheol. I did it when you needed me most and...I feel so shitty about it. When you were little, I promised to always take care of you, and I broke that promise. I just...hope you can forgive me." Little moments like these were precious to Jiwon.
She was the only person to ever see Saebyeok's vulnerability, and it always made her proud to know that she was dearly trusted by her.
" Of course i can forgive you. I just needed to hear you say it." Saebyeok's lips curled a bit, and she reached an arm around Jiwon's shoulders to pull her into her side.
" You were going through so much, too. I never should have left." Jiwon smiled, laying her head on her sisters shoulder. She missed this.
" How was it? After we left? You know, with Jisoo and all that." Saebyeok asked, trying her best to make up for lost time.
" Hard." Jiwon shrugged, eyes already getting teary. " I hate that I never got to tell her. I miss her."

" This was very sudden. Any reason for this meet up?" Jisoo asked, swinging Jiwon's hand in hers as they walked around the park, late at night.
Jiwon gulped. " No reason. Just wanted to see you." She tried her hardest to keep her voice steady, as she already wanted to cry.
" You're so cute." Jisoo chuckled, pulling her to sit down on a bench, snaking an arm around her waist.
Jiwon couldn't hold back, and hugged Jisoo, shoving her face into her neck to hide her tears.
" Hey, are you ok?" Jisoo's voice grew concerned, as she wrapped her arms around the girl.
" I love you." Jiwon muttered, jaw clenched as tears rolled down her cheeks.
" I love you too, Ji." The next morning, Jiwon would leave for South Korea. The next morning, Jiwon's father would be shot dead. And the next day, Jiwon would arrive in South Korea without her parents.
