ELLE
Harleys In Hawaii-Katy Perry

The first week he was gone was as bad as I was expecting it to be. I hated every second I was apart from him, just like when we were separated. And even though there was solace to know it was only temporary, I still desperately tried occupying myself the most I could to get my mind off of him.

My days consisted of work until the late afternoon, only to come home to an empty space. But it was better than having to deal with the whole Brianna, Louis, Zayn situation. I stayed away from it as much as I could, though I couldn't avoid it completely. I still ran into Zayn and I was unable to pretend everything was fine so I just disappeared into my room, hoping he wouldn't think I was being rude.

Finally reaching the day before the weekend, I sighed deeply as I got back home and kicked my heels off at the entrance. Bri was about to leave for work, gathering her things from around the house and putting food out for Rufus. Things between us had been a bit odd since I caught her cheating.

"Hey." She awkwardly smiled at me once she saw me.

"Hi." I quietly responded as I placed my purse on the table by the door and slid my blazer off.

"I'm off to work in a few. How was your day?"

"Fine. Bit hectic but that's part of the job." I shrugged, walking away towards the bathroom door.

"Okay. There's a package for you on your bed. I'll see you later." Her voice was full of guilt, but what bothered me wasn't as much what she did. It was that she didn't have the guts to come clean about her feelings to the person she ultimately deceived, instead pretending like nothing ever happened.

"Thanks. See you later." I monotonously responded and closed the door, not even realising what she told me until after a few seconds. She was gone from the house when I exited the bathroom, which was to be expected. I went to my room, finding a black box onto my bedding. I didn't need to think hard to guess who the sender was, but curiosity still spiked in me. The matte box was wrapped in a red ribbon, an envelope slid under it. So I took it out, opening it and retrieving the card inside. A smile grew on my face to see the familiar hand writing.

Ellie,
As you're reading this, open the box and look inside.

I instantly did as I was told, finding it ridiculous that he was able to order me around even from a note. I pulled the bow of the ribbon apart and set the card next to the box. pulling the lid of it off, I was faced with wrapping paper I had to push aside. Inside laid four sets of lacy lingerie, similar to the set I wore on his birthday. There was a black, lacy bralette, a baby blue corset, a simple white bra and a yellow bralette, all with matching thongs. I shook my head in disbelief, though I shouldn't have been surprised. He did seem to enjoy seeing me in the last outfit similar to those. I took the note in my hand again, continuing to read.

I know all four of those outfits would look great on you. I want you to pick one and send me a picture of you in it. If you dig deeper into the box you'll find another surprise. Have it ready when I call you tonight.

Even through words written onto a piece of paper in blue ink, I could feel his authoritative nature. But it always had a way of making me feel a bit lightheaded, even now. I always felt the need to comply to his every demand and just imagining his voice speaking everything he just wrote to me made me impatient for his call. I dropped the card again and searched through the box for what he was referring to. It didn't take me long to find a smaller box under the clothing. I pulled it out, only for my eyes to go wide and my jaw to slightly drop.
