IFELT THE BLOOD LOSS start to get to me as Clementine tried her hardest to keep me upwards while we walked through the forest. We had nowhere to go, no aim, no one. But we had each other. That’s all we needed. Well, that and medical supplies. I was not going to last long without closing this wound.
Clementine: Hey, hey. Stay with me.
Emma: Always… Clem…
I felt the word start spinning, my feet swaying beneath me. Clementine’s grasp on my back and arm got stronger, trying to keep me upright as my consciousness faded slowly. As black dots started to appear over my vision, Clem leaned me against a rock, making me slide down onto the floor.
Clementine: No, no, no. You can’t sleep.
Emma: But… I’m tired…
Clementine: No. You’re not.
Around me I could hear groans start to erupt from the distance. A crowd of walkers had started to make their way towards us, making Clementine take out her knife, eyes wide at the situation we were in. The first walker limped into Clem, making her fall over. I watched it and tried to get up and help, but my head rolled backwards, making me lose my balance. I couldn’t let her die. I had to help. But instead of getting up, my legs sunk further into the ground, making me yell in frustration.
