THE GIRL LOOKED OUT INTO THE WOODS from her position beside the chain-link fence, a distant look on her face. Clementine put the bottle of rum in Jane’s face, getting her attention.
Jane: They expect either of you to lure me over there with alcohol? I wouldn’t have expected a bottle to last this long. It’s probably been a while for everyone.
Emma: Will it work?
Jane: That depends. What is it?
Clementine: It’s rum…
She took the bottle, looking satisfied with the answer, taking a glance at the group by the campfire with an uncomfortable look.
