The Meeting

Kylo never sits. You feel his presence at some distance behind you. But he's always there just listening and observing.

You eye the room, casting your gaze from General Hux sitting across from you at the glass table, to Captain Vi standing at the head of it, paper files spread out on the table and a data pad in her hands.

The meeting started swiftly, beginning with their new leads on ongoing missions they'd started throughout the time of looking for the map to Skywalker. Something about uncovering a major hide out on the planet of Kijimi for spice runners.

You zone out for most of it, still unsure as to why you need to be here listening to their problems.

Vi then takes the floor, discussing what their plans are when they find the map to Skywalker. You keep quiet just listening to their determination. Convincing themselves that they will have the map one day. You roll your eyes.

But there's something else, a new concern that Vi brought up.

Your brows draw together as you try to listen to her explain the situation again.

Hux leans forward in his seat, resting his elbows on the table.

"So what exactly are you saying Captain?" He questions, raising one fair coloured brow.

Vi rounds the table to hand him a piece of paper from her large pile.

"I have reason to believe that someone is trying to get Commander Ren and yourself killed."

Hux throws his head back in a quiet chuckle. "Yes, them and half the rest of the galaxy. We are no strangers to the hatred and death threats we receive from the people. It's probably the Resistance." He smiles and shoots you a look.

"It's not." Vi is quick to answer, she looks at him extremely serious. "Would the Resistance have access to one of our private transmitters?"

You hear Kylo shift behind you. You felt him closer without needing to turn your head.

"Go on." Hux spoke for all of us.

"This is a message we received from one of our private transmitters in the control room, from an anonymous dispatcher."

Vi looks down at the data pad in her had and you see her press something.

A strange, distorted voice comes from the pad. A recording of the message. It sounds fuzzy and deep, speaking a complete different language. Nothing like you've ever heard before.

Hux looks towards Vi. "What language is that? What is it saying."

You hear Kylo take another step toward the table. "It's Sith."

We all turn to look at him, each lost in our own confusion.

Hux folds his arms across his chest. "Well can you translate it?"

Vi nods and stops the recording. "I took it to a scholar I know who's studied dead languages for hundreds of years. It's translated as follows;"

You lean forward in your seat as Vi reads out the translation.

"The death of Ben Solo and Armitage Hux will be the prime event of the millennium. The death of them at my hands will grant me much satisfaction and recognition. Be prepared. It will happen soon."

You heave a breath and raise your eyes brows after hearing the translated threat. Why would they go to such lengths to have it sent in Sith? For all we know the Sith is dead.

The room seems to ripple in heat as Kylo draws back toward the wall. You can hear his breathing quicken under the mask. His anger caressing your senses.
