Chapter 3: What the Hades is Going On?!

NICO HEARD A YELP from above, and so did the others.

They shared a quick glance and ran up, Percy in the lead. When we went upstairs, we saw Annabeth standing in front of the playroom, her hands over her mouth.

Percy immediately rushed upto her and started gushing over. Annabeth just pointed a shaky finger towards the playroom, one hand still over her mouth. Percy, like all of us jerked his head towards the room.

The room was.... empty?

Percy immediately took out his Riptide and uncapped it. Now there was a three feet long celestial bronze sword in his right hand, while left hand was still around his shaking wife.

Annabeth soon recovered from her shock and took out a dagger from under her floral maternity dress. Her and Percy were now shoulder to shoulder, in a combat position we all had seen All too Well {(10 minute version) (Taylor's Version) (from the vault) Just kidding lol. I love that version btw}

From the corner of his eye, Nico saw Jason flip his coin and it turned into his gladius, Piper took her blade Katoptris out from her belt. Hazel, Will, Travis, Katie and Chris ran to the training room below to get weapons of choice. Frank turned into a lion. Leo took out his hammer from that magical tool belt he has. Calypso looked like she could kill, her glare was so fierce, it almost made him flinch and her hands were ready to punch. Well, that was one thing common in Clarisse and her. They both had the same look. Grover took his reed pipes to his mouth. Nico, following everyone's suit, twisted his skull ring, and held his familiar Stygian Iron Sword.

Will, Hazel, Travis, Katie and Chris ran back up. Hazel with a sparta, Will with a bow and arrows and the other three with a sword.

"What happened, Annabeth?" Percy asked, still in combat position. "Where is everyone?" his voice was so dangerously low, it was scary. Percy can be intimidating, okay?

"I don't know! I just came up and saw Thalia rushing to Connor and he-he disappeared! Thalia saw me, her expressions were panic stricken, and she disappeared too." She answered, more like rambled.

"What about the kids?" He asked, softer than before. "They were already gone. I think Thalia was searching for them." She answered, her actions were composed but her voice betrayed them. It was filled with panic. "Whoever you are, show yourself! If you want to fight, fight us! We don't like our kids being used for our battles! LEAVE THEM ALONE!" Annabeth was practically growling.

Nothing.

"FIGHT US IF YOU HAVE THE GUTS, YOU FILTHY MONSTER!!" Clarisse yelled.

Still nothing.

"Who will come with me to check inside, you know, just in case anything happens to me and you have to convey the message?" Percy asks with a sigh. "I will. I am sure the monster won't be able to kill us." Clarisse said, he head high. "That's if you don't kill each other." Nico heard Annabeth mutter uner her breath, so did Percy and Clarisse. Percy gave her a mock glare while Clarisse gave an actual one. Percy nodded and they went inside, still in combat position and both went to different directions of the room, going out of sight.

They didn't come out for 4 whole minutes.

We were getting impatient now, and worried. Yeah, you could say we were worried.

Frank turned into a bee and flew in to check. He didn't come out either.

There had been no fight inside. Three people had gone inside, but no struggle was heard.
