Chapter 11: A Graceful Reunion

THALIA GRACE

THALIA WAS READY to kick this girl's ass. She shows up put of nowhere with tons of kids and four people who radiate power and claims to be Thalia! The audacity!

Thalia was about to impale this girl with her spear when a hand appeared on her shoulder. She looked up to see Chiron, who was shaking his head. "I am sure that after asking some questions, this can be solved. If not, well, feel free to use your spear." Chiron suggested, "You can ask some private questions. You can go into the woods, if you're more comfortable with that." He added.

Thalia nodded and glared at the huntress. "Come. I need to ask you some questions." Thalia said coldly. She just shrugged and followed Thalia. They didn't go to the woods, standing a few metres away was just fine. "So, you claim to be me?" Thalia asked with raised eyebrows. "Girl, I am you!" She said. "Prove it." Thalia said shortly. She folded her hands, "Ask me anything." She said.

Alright. Thalia decided to ask something only two people knew, "W-Where did you get the shield from?" She asked. The girl sighed, her eyes slightly dulling with hurt, as if asking that triggered her memory with something she wanted to forget. Thalia realised that that's what she felt since she became human again, learned that Luke, the same guy who travelled with her to Camp, the same guy who she trusted with her life with, had poisoned her tree and had sided with the Titans, betrayed everyone. Betrayed. She remembered what Hal had said all those years ago, his path is hard to see. But if he survives today, he will betray- but Thalia had interrupted him, it wasn't Hal's fault that Luke turned out the way he did.

As thoughts clouded her head, the other girl started to speak, "Hal's mansion. It was in the safe. Luke opened it and at first we thought that it was just some bracelet, but as that Leucrota attacked, we figured that it had a code word, Aegis." She said, not meeting Thalia's eyes. Thalia looked at her, jaw hanging, with aghast expressions. "How do you know that? Only Luke and I do. We didn't even tell Anna-Annabeth."

"I told you. Look, this may sound like utter bullshit, but I am you from the future." She said. The prophecy was just was just spoken, and it has begun too! "I belive you." Thalia said with a sigh. "What else can I - what? You believe me? How?" She asked, puzzled. Thalia recounted the prophecy for her, Future Thalia's eyes widened with every line. "I.... don't remember that...." She admitted. Then she looked like she realised something, "oh right! You won't remember this whole thing. It makes sense why you won't remember the prophecy either!" She exclaimed, slamming the fist of her right hand on the palm of her left.

Um.... Okay? "So, how did you end up here? Why are you here? Why are you a fucking huntress?! Who are the kids? When are-" she started bombarding her future self with questions. "Woah woah woah! Slow the heck down!" She said, laughing. Thalia laughed along too, "Sorry." She said sheepishly. "Just one thing, what Hal said, everything is true." She said with a small smile. "Well, everything else is okay, but the family part...." She trailed off. Mom is dead. What about..... No, that's impossible. It's been years. Thalia was not ready to get her hopes high.

"Come on." She said and started moving ahead. On the way she said, "See that blonde guy there?" She said. Thalia nodded. "Look at him closely." Thalia did as told. The guy was tall. He had striking blue eyes. For a moment she thought it was him. She shrugged it off. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Quite common. Then she squinted more and saw a scar on his lips. Thalia was reminded of a memory from her childhood and smiled. Wait a minute. Blonde hair, blue eyes just like Thalia and a scar on the lips in the exact same spot. Too many coincidences.

Thalia looked at her older, well kind of older. They literally looked the same age, maybe because she became a huntress. The huntress beamed and nodded.

The boy was her long lost younger brother, Jason.

Thalia couldn't contain her excitement, she beamed in happiness and ran towards Jason. He looked surprised. Without saying another word, Thalia tackled Jason on the biggest hug. She came out of the hug and cupped her brother's face and examined Jason from head to toe, her protective sister mode turning on. He had grown soo much! So much taller, bluffer, handsome.

"Are you okay? How? What happened?" Thalia started muttering. As a kid, only the two siblings were there for each other. Thalia loved Jason with all her heart. Their mother was always wasted. Thalia took care of everything Jason did. "Hey, hey, I am okay. Don't worry." Jason said. Puberty probably hit him hard. His voice was deep. This is supposed to be her baby brother! But he looked the same age as Thalia!

"Oh gods! I can't believe it's you! I-I thought you were d-dead! I am so sorry. I shouldn't've let mom give you away at that place." Thalia hugged Jason again. This time Jason was probably prepared, hugged her back and stroked her hair. "It's not your fault. You couldn't have done anything. It's alright." He said soothingly.

Thalia finally let go of her grip on Jason. She looked around her to see that the people from her time look confused as fuck. Chiron was looking at her brother with the most calculating gaze ever. He suddenly frowned. "You.... You should be dead." He said uncertainly. Next to Thalia, Jason chuckled. "What's so funny, Jase?" She asked, eyebrow raised to her temple. "Nothing. It's just the first time I met Chiron, he said exactly the same thing." Wow okay. "How did-" Thalia started, but Jason interrupted, "We will tell you guys everything."

"Ummm, excuse me?" Thalia heard Percy from the crowd. She turned around and saw Percy looking as confused as everyone. His right hand held his sword while he raised his left one. "Do you mind explaining what's going on?" He asked uncertainly and the others nodded eagerly. Before Thalia could answer, Jason snorted from next to her. Everyone looked at him.

He just shrugged and said, "Puberty hit you hard, bro." He said. It was an odd thing to say, but the Cherokee girl, hispanic guy and future Thalia chuckled along. "Yeah, Aquaman is tall as me dude!" Said the scrawny guy. Thalia wondered how old he was. "Well, Leo, the thing is that Percy is 13 and you're 16." Older Thalia said.

Leo huffed. Jason and Older Thalia high fived. From the corner of her eye, Thalia saw Percy who was red from embarrassment. The girl next to Jason probably noticed, she swatted Jason's arm. "Come on! Shut up! Give him a break." She said. Immediately Thalia wanted to keep quiet and stay that way forever. Charmpeak, she realised. Must be a daughter of Aphrodite! Everyone shut up. "Oh yeah, forgot about that. Please speak." She said.

Percy raised his hand again, "What is going on???" He asked. Thalia went over to her future self, put an arm around her shoulder and said "The second prophecy is happening." with a smirk.

At that very moment, two more people came into view. It was a girl who looked 14 or 15, she had dark skin, literally golden eyes amd frizzy cinnamon hair. Next to her, holding her hand was a tall man who looked 2 or 3 years older than her. He was pale and tall and bluff and Chinese.

They looked at Thalia, then Thalia and did back and forth. "Are there two Thalias or am I hallucinating?" She asked the guy next to her. "I see two too." He said.

"Frank! Hazel!" Leo yelled, waving rapidly. The two - Frank and Hazel - seemed to relax when they saw the double duo. "Come on, you two. It is nothing." The caramel haired girl spoke for the first time since she got here.

As Hazel and Frank made their way, from the corner of her eye, Thalia saw Zoë Nightshade eyeing the girl with..... tears?

"Calypso?" she said in a barely audible whisper. Apparently the girl heard it and turned around.

Her hand clasped to her mouth as she gasped, a tear in her eye. "Zoë!" She said. The two ran towards each other and hugged like they'll never let go.
