Being in love was a gift. Being able to hold the person you love the most in the comfort of your arms, able to enjoy their touch, their laughter, their soft kisses in the dead of night and their sweet whispers of sweet nothings in the early hours or morning where no soul stirs.

It was total bliss.

Being able to kiss them and feel them felt like a dream, but then there are those who refuse to have it happen at all. They are afraid of being left alone in the dark pits of loneliness refusing to crawl out by themselves. So they make sure to keep as many people there as possible. They take any and all action to ensure it stays that way.

Like right now.

Standing in front of the civilian council were Naruto and Sasuke.

One was once the dead last of the academy and the other the last of his blood. Now they were both more than anyone expected of them.

Naruto made himself a friend to the Kyuubi-no-Kitsune and the other became an avenger. They were both the hero's of Konoha. The definition of unimaginable strength.

However, sometimes in times of great distress the strength you have fades away into nothingness.

Naruto was crying his eyes out and Sasuke was glaring at the people in front of him while trying to hold his boyfriend up.

"You can't do this. You can't meddle with our love lives. Just because you want to. It's not right," Sasuke said.

He was fuming. They called him to this meeting, made his blonde cry and now they want him to marry that pink banshee Sakura. He hated her. She was desperate, annoying, and pathetic. She was his stalker for Kami's sake. What idiot would marry their stalker.

"Yes, we can. This thing you have with Naruto is unnatural and it won't suit your clan image," Mebuki Haruno, Sakura's mother, said arrogantly. Her nose was in the air and her arms were folded over in front of her chest.

"What do you know about clan image? Three of my Uncles had been married to men. Their union brought forth children stronger than any seen before. Do you want to know why that happened? It's because of love. You just don't want to see me marry someone else, because that would mean that you can't brag about Sakura marrying an Uchiha." Sasuke said.

Mebuki scoffed, "My daughter deserves only the best. She has loved you for years. She stood by you and continued to love you even when you left. So you can repay her by marrying her and giving her your children. She is best suited for the role of your wife. Now get ready, because the Hyuuga-Uzumaki and Haruno-Uchiha wedding will be taking place within a week."

With that, the matter was closed. No one could change what would come next. They couldn't run because they would be declared fugitives, Mebuki would do that, and if they did run an Uchiha and an Uzumaki out in the open could spell trouble for the both of them.

The entire week that led up to the wedding Sasuke had shown his love for Naruto.

Soft whispers of I love you, kisses all over his body, sweet love making, and sweet nothings. Naruto was the only one for Sasuke and he wanted the blonde to hear it, understand it, feel it with every fibre of his being.

They had made a promise to each other. Long ago.

They were each others and no one else's. They can be forced into a marriage but they won't be forced to love someone they didn't, couldn't, wouldn't.

They had gotten married and on that night, as is customary and expected, their wives wanted to copulate after the beautiful wedding. They had each created a shadow clone while in the bathroom and sent them to do it. It was a clone so they would only have the memories and not the feeling that it gave them.
