(valencia's pov)

i walk into the studio with jessica by my side, iced coffee lattes in our hand, talking.

"and again, i really am sorry for falling asleep on your couch. i didn't mean to!" she apologizes for the 100th time.

"jess, seriously don't worry about it!" i laugh, walking in through the door she kept open for me.

the studio was styled so well, the interior having a naturalistic modern look with giant mirrors on the wall that reminded me of the studio i practiced ballet in when i was younger. no one was there yet since class started in an hour, so jessica had time to give me a tour while reexplaining some points for the four-day event.

"this is mainly where i do most my classes, so we're using this room for today." she points to the room.

"great! did you decorate this studio yourself? it's so pretty." i compliment.

she smiles,
"i did, yeah! thank you."

my phone rings and i put the coffee on a nearby table to grab the phone from my back pocket.

incoming call from: mon amour
accept decline

"i'm sorry, i have to take this." i apologize before heading outside the studio.

"hi, love!"

"valencia! i'm so relieved you replied."

"oh, did something happen?"

"no, no! you just didn't pick up yesterday
and i thought something happened!"

"what? you called yesterday?"

"yeah...2 times at like 11:00 at night"

"the fuck? i swear i didn't receive a single call,
i thought you were at one of your meetings."

"it's alright, i was just worried. how are you?"

"i'm great, i arrived at the studio with jess and
it's so pretty!"

"right, jessica. she's treating you well?"

"yeah, she slept over last night, too. what
about you? how are you?"

"i'm okay, missing you."

"you make me want to cry every time you
say that, i miss you more."

*chuckles*
"it's alright, five more days."

"gonna be the longest five days of my life. it's probably time for me to go back in the studio, people should be arriving by now."

"okay, take care yeah?"

"valencia?"
"darling? are you there?"
