CHAPTER 26
Cat's out of the bag
Simba surveyed the corridor, staring down each and every agent he passed. He was tired, he was hungry, and he doesn't care for a single soul on this aircraft other than Claire.
The blonde walked swiftly behind him, letting him have his fun.
She indicated for him to stop when they reached a uniform closet so that she could take her coat off. The previous evening was bitterly cold, and every room on the carrier felt colder since Loki had been brought on board. But now that the sun was rising into the sky, everyone was slowly defrosting.
The morning's instructions were clear, she had to monitor Tony and Bruce in the lab, and they had to find the cube. Whatever necessary.
"Doctor?" a soft voice in the corridor called for a doctor.
Claire ignored this and focused on changing into a cooler outfit, assuming they were calling for the two doctors that left ahead of her.
"Doc," the voice called again, "Claire!"
She immediately snapped out of her trance, whipping her blonde hair to the side to see a familiar blazing red.
Natasha quietly stood on the other side of the corridor; her arms crossed over her chest. She was still wearing her black SHIELD suit, and her hair swayed in its natural curls.
