Claire was always grateful she didn't live in a fantasy world where dragons and demons existed and terrorized civilian life on a day-to-day basis.

No, she luckily lived in a world where caterpillars are seventy feet long, covered head to tail in indestructible armor, falling from the sky in trios at a time.

"Guys," Natasha alerted them, her voice shaken up from what was flying through the portal.

The team drew their attention to what she was making them aware of, suddenly feeling the impending doom. It had taken nearly all their effort to bring down one of the leviathans, and now three more sailed over the New York Skyline. How many more were in Loki's back pocket? And were these the worst that they would have to face?

"Call it, Captain," Tony's mechanical voice signaled for Steve's cue.

"Alright now listen up," he stepped away from the group to get a good look at his playing cards, "until Claire can close that portal, our priority is containment."

Her ears jumped up at this demand, ready to interject his proposal, but Nat just grabbed her wrist and yanked it back down. A silent warning to shut up.
