Chapter 14

Bianca POV

How Yuri left his family specially Yumi in a very unpredictable way makes it very hard for them to continue each day without him. Once someone leaves, life goes on, people move on… but the vacuum created by the person who leaves stays in some form or the other. Nawala man si Yuri sa buhay ni Yumi, nanatili naman itong buhay sa puso at isip ni Yumi. Their memories, their dreams and their bonds as brothers will always be there. Loosing him will never be easy for Yumi, it breaks him. But life goes on, besides if bad things didn’t happen, how would you able to feel the good ones?

I’m here sitting with Ashtine and Heart while watching Yumi laughing with Fat. Those two are really like brothers na.

"He's really okay now. " Heart said while smiling. Then I look at heart she is looking at Yumi and Fat. Then I looked back them again.

"You make him happy B. You are his missing piece. You are the reason why Yumi is now smiling." Heart continued

Flashback

College Days. I know Yumi as a very cold student. But a very smart one. Kahit na nandyan si Fat and Heart palagi with him, mas gusto nya parin na magisa sya. Walking alone, eating alone, just doing everything on his own.

I always see him like that. Although kilala ko sya but I just know him by name kasi nga magkaklase kami. That's the only thing I know about him.

Sa everyday kong nakikita si Yumi na ganon, it makes me curious. Para bang gusto ko syang kilalanin. I wanted to know the reason behind those lonely eyes. Baka naman kasi nakalimutan nya lang ngumiti. Nakalimutan nya lang maging masaya. Sobrang iksi kaya ng buhay, kaya we should be happy living with it. Gusto ko syang makitang ngumiti man lang kahit saglit.

So nagdecide ako na gusto kong makipag kaibigan sakanya. I asked Heart to help me. She did help me para makalapit kay Yumi, but he keeps on ignoring me. Hindi daw kasi talaga nakikipag usap si Yumi sa ibang tao except kay Heart at Fat. Para bang ayaw nyang magentertain ng iba.

I tried joining him during lunch, hinahayaan nyan naman ako na samahan sya but he is not talking. Nandun lang ako just watching him while eating, trying to figure out what's going on in his mind. Pero wala, wala akong napala. He never said a single word.

Weeks had pass pero ganun parin. Sinasamahan ko lang sya pero di parin nagsasalita, after nyang kumain aalis na sya. Then naisip ko na baka ayaw nya talaga ng may kasama. So I stopped. 2 days ago yung last ko syang sinamahan kumain, before syang umalis sa table namin. I told him something, I said "When you need someone to listen, I'm here. Di na muna kita sasabayan kasi baka naiirita ka na sakin. But I will be honored, if I will become your friend. You can talk to me anytime you want to. Take Care."
I just tapped his head then umalis na.

Then one day, I need to stay late at school because I need to finish some paper works with my groupmates. Inabot kami ng 10pm sa campus, while I am waiting for my Driver to arrived I heard a very unfamiliar voice.
When I look at the owner of that very cold voice.  It's Yumi. Boses pala yun nung tao na matagal ko ng hinihintay na marinig.

"Why are you still here?" Yumi coldly asked.

At first, natulala ako dahil nagsalita nya. But I manage to answer.

"Hmmm. I just finished some paper works. I said then smile.

"Let's go. I'll drive you home." He said. Di na ako nakasagot dahil hinawakan nya na yung kamay ko at hinila na ako papunta sa sasakyan nya. He opens the door for me. Pumasok na din naman ako agad. The moment he enters his car he speak again.
