" Hina, Takemichi, welcome! " Emma greeted the couple with a smile and opened the door further for them to enter " Everyones already here so come in quickly "
Taking off their shoes and coats, the pair followed the sandy blond haired girl to the living room where all their friends were gathered around a kotatsu
The people present were Mitsuya, Yuzuha, Hakkai, Draken, Mikey, Baji, Kazutora, Pah, Pey, Smiley and Angry
After saluting all of them, Hina took a seat next to Yuzuha while Takemichi sat between Baji and Draken
Grabbing a beer can, the boy took a sip of his drink before joining a conversation
And that's pretty much how the gathering went. Letting themselves get drunk while laughing and talking about good old memories. A perfect night just as they liked
But of course, after a few hours, the party had to come to an end sometime. Much to everyone's dismay
The first ones to leave were Mitsuya, Hakkai and Yuzuha. And thirty minutes later it was Pah and Pey followed by the Kawata brothers
" I think we should head home as well " Takemichi said at his fiancee, right after Smiley and Angry left " Because if I'm not mistaken, you've got to get up early tomorrow, right?"
" Unfortunately...yes" the girl confirmed with a pout " But let's stay for a few more minutes. At least until I finished my drink"
Nodding at her condition, Hina smiled and resumed talking with Emma
" So Takemitchy" The black headed male shifted his attention to his friend sitting beside him " You nervous? "
" About what?" he questioned
" Your wedding" Mikey clarified
" Oh that" he nervously rubbed his nape " Kinda yes"
" Don't be " Draken gave him a pat on the back " You'll see it's actually not that frightening"
" Yeah right...Remind me who was literally shaking in his shoes at his own wedding " Mikey teased
Hearing this made an irk mark appear on the braided man his forehead " Shut it you little shrimp, I was not! " He glared
Stifling a laughter at Draken's flusteredness, Takemichi remembered how indeed during his own wedding ceremony, the man was quivering like crazy. And it was only when Emma walked down the aisle in her beautiful white dress, that he managed to calm down
Being reminded of this marriage, the boy's face suddenly turned pale as he realized he had forgotten to take care of one important and crucial thing
He still needed to find a best man
Well more like ask, since he had already someone in mind for a very long time. And despite knowing that this person would most likely turn down his offer, he still wanted to give it shot
Taking out his phone he went to his contacts and clicked on the number he wanted to call
But unfortunately after several tryings and receiving nothing but the answering machine, did the boy eventually give up
" Guess I'll drop by his house tomorrow" he sighed
" Whose what?"
" Oh!" Takemichi turned to look at Baji, who happened to hear him " I need to ask Chifuyu something. And since he doesn't pick up his phone I thought I might visit him tomorrow."
" What do you need from him?"
Beckoning the black haired man to lean closer so that only he could hear, Takemichi whispered the reason in his ear
" Are you kidding me? You still got no one!" Baji exclaimed, earning an embarrassed head shake from the man who was about to be a husband
" But you know...Not that I want to criticize your choice or anything but why on earth would you ask him of all people? Especially when he's been behaving like a total jackass"
A short silence feel upon the two as Baji waited for Takemichi's answer
" Other than the fact that I still consider him like a brother I wouldn't know another reason " The boy gave his friend a lopsided smile " It's true he may have changed and maybe not in a good way. However that doesn't mean I'll just abandon him."
Touching his slightly swollen cheek, Baji's brows furrowed as he thought back at the fight. Again, he didn't feel bad for telling the idiot the truth. However after listening to what Takemichi said, he realized something...
And that was that even if Chifuyu's attitude was infuriating him beyond belief, nothing would change the fact that he still remained someone dear to him

After a while, when Hina was finally done chitchatting, the two bid goodbye to the remaining people in the room and headed towards the front door. Putting on their coats and shoes they thanked Emma once more before walking out of the house into the cold night street
But after being outside for maybe just two minutes, Takemichi stopped walking when he heard someone scream out his name. Turning around he saw Baji waving him over in front of Emma and Draken's house
Curious as to what he wanted, the boy skipped towards him leaving his fiancé stare at him with a quizzical look
" Is everything alright?" he asked once he stood in front of his friend
" Well...uhm...I have a favor to ask you concerning Chifuyu " Baji's sudden request made the boy's eyes widen in surprise
" If possible, try and talk some sense into that idiot's thick skull. " he grunted " He won't listen to me but maybe he will with you"
Compared to the others, Takemichi always thought that Baji showed less to no compassion for Chifuyu's feelings. And this was mostly because he would always act like his normal, rude self
Even when Mikey and Kazutora kept telling him that that was just his way of showing care, the black haired male had a hard time believing that that was the case
But now, in this very moment, he saw just how wrong his judgement was
And yet, despite feeling touched by Baji's worry, Takemichi couldn't help but fear that his concern was also
a rather bad sign
