From the moment he got out of bed, Chifuyu sensed that there was something different. It was like his conscience was trying to make him realize something, but for the love of god could he not put his finger on it
It didn't matter how hard he pondered on it, nothing in particular came to mind...
And despite being somewhat aggravated by the sensation, the boy tried his best to just ignore it and go on with his daily routine
Working at his pet shop, he spend the entire day rearranging shelves while at the same time helping clients find the products they needed
And with the assistend and pleasant company of his friends Kazutora and Baji, did the journey flew by quickly
" Another great and productive day " The two toned haired male stretched out his arms with a smile plastered on his face
" How about we go grab a bite? " Baji proposed " I think we really deserved it"
" Sounds good, Chifuyu?"
" Sure but do you guys mind waiting a minute? " the boy held up his phone, showing that someone was calling him " I'll tell Takemichi to make it quick"
Nodding their heads, both males walked a little ahead and waited patiently
Although there was a small amount of distance between them and their friend, Kazutora and Baji were able to hear fragments of the conversation
Maybe not very clear, but they could make out some words
However, when they heard a sudden change of tone in Chifuyu's voice, did both males raise their brows and stare confusingly at their companion
His eyes were widely open, lips parted and it seemed that he was barely able to hold his phone as his hand was quivering
Feeling concerned, Kazutora and Baji sprinted towards their friend " Hey man, what's going on? Everything okay?"
" I..."
" What the hell did that twerp tell you?" Baji furrowed his brows
" I...s-sorry but I have to go"
" Wait Chi-" Kazutora tried to grab him by the shoulder but was too late
Although the pair knew that could've simply chased after him, something in their gut told them not to do that
And so, in the end, Kazutora and Baji hoped that whatever had gotten him into this state, was nothing worrisome

That was the word that two people thought at the same time after having listened to Takemichi Hanagaki's story
However this incredible discovery was the answer to Chifuyu's weird sensation that he had all day long. And no that he knew the cause, he could finally describe what that feeling was
A combination of something that made both his heart flutter but at the same time fill itself with happiness
Though the previous past had been rewritten, Chifuyu strangely enough still vividly remembered the old not so pleasant one
Yet that didn't matter to him as he was now to excited at the thought of seeing the person he loved
Yes, you read it right
Chifuyu Matsuno finally knew for a hundred percent certain, that he had feelings for his best friend
He may have taken his sweet time to realize it, but after recalling everything that had happened, the black haired male knew that the way he cared for her was much more than simple friendship
And although at first he wasn't certain if she felt the same way, he did remember the kiss you gave him which to him seemed like a clear answer about your feelings
And so upon his arrival at the meeting place, Chifuyu Matsuno didn't call out the girl's name to make his presence known but instead just walked up to her...
Grabbed her hand
Gently intertwined his fingers with hers
And from that day on, he would always keep her by his side
