Still Here

April had been feeling sad. She kept feeling something strange in her gut.

April finally was able to calm down enough to sleep.

Musing through memories,
Losing my grip in the grey.

April was back at the canyon, holding onto the rocks

Numbing the senses,
I feel you slipping away.

The sensation of Celeste's fingertips slipping from her

Fighting to hold on,
Clinging to just one more day

April, reaching for her Celeste, as she fell

Love turns to ashes,

A tear slipped down April's sleeping form

April was suddenly at the school dance, that had been a few weeks after Celeste's death.

Every night, I dream you're still here.

Celeste was suddenly there, slightly transparent, holding out her hand

The ghost by my side, so perfectly clear.

They were close together, dancing in a rhythmic star pattern

Back to the shadows

Suddenly she was gone, running ahead of April. April ran after her

Three tears slipped down her cheeks, and she grasped her friend's hand

Celeste and April were close to each other. Very close. Celeste leaned in, and whispered in April's ear

" Find Me "

" What...? I...!" April started.

" Wake Up "

April woke up, hot tears staining her face.

It was storming.

" April! We need to go now." Donnie said, waking her up from her room in the dojo.

April looked out the window.

" Let's go."
