"He's nowhere to be found," Run reported back to the blue haired General.

"Thank you for wanting to help. But if he's not inside the Capital, I suppose I'm the only one who can hunt him down," Esdeath said, putting on her cap, "Investigate what happened, it isn't normal for Y/n to leave without an important reason or without letting me know his whereabouts."

Run smiled. Ever since Y/n joined the Jaegers he had noticed the warm spot she holds for Y/n, "Yes."

Esdeath smiled and fixed her cap as she got on her horse and hit the road in search of Y/n. She wondered what caused him to leave all of a sudden. The prime minister told her and the Jaegers that Y/n was falsely accusing him for setting his home on fire and decided to run off.

But for Esdeath she felt something wasn't right. If that story was true, Honest wouldn't be alive at the moment. She knows what a revengeful person Y/n could be. She'd at least expect him to set the palace on fire.

"Well, obviously it couldn't be a coincidence, I mean how did you know I was going to be here," Y/n asked the young brown haired male as he came down the tree not far from where his house once was, "Go on, I am all ears."

Tatsumi nodded before he spoke, "Y/n-san, We both know you're not like the rest of the Jaegers or like Prime minister Honest. If you side—"

"If you think I'll join Najenda, do start walking away. I'm not interested," Y/n said and sat down leaning against the tree now.

"No—Night Raid will attack harder this time, and there will be deaths! Innocent people can—."

"Then you came to threaten?" Y/n chuckled and crossed his arms.

"I came to give you a warning. There's no need for threatening, we are at war," Tatsumi frowned as he looked down at Y/n.

"You know what? This conversation is boring. Leave already," y/n said and stood up from the ground.

"Y/n-san! I admire your strength, your honesty, and your determination! But you're on the wrong side! We don't want you as an enemy nor as a target!" Tatsumi exclaimed, making Y/n a little surprised.

Y/n sighed and looked up at the sky that already started to darkened, "What is there to admire? hmm? I joined the Jaegers for one reason; to guarantee I get my revenge. I didn't join to serve the Empire's needs and battles, as if I'm concerned who's going to lose or win in the end."

"revenge. That's all that is keeping you alive, isn't it?" Tatsumi lowered his head down.

Y/n looked at Tatsumi, "don't give me that pathetic pity face! I do have something to live for other than that!."

"Is it....Esdeath?"

Y/n quickly looked at Tatsumi and frowned, "what?"

"Eh-" Tatsumi was stunned by the sudden upset tone coming from the young man, "er—I mean Najenda-san shared that you two are very close friends."

Y/n eased, why was Tatsumi was trying to have a conversation like they are friends. He sighed, "close friends, she says?...I don't consider Esdeath as a friend."

"Huh? Eh..." Tatsumi scratched his head in confusion, "that day...I told her things that made me feel guilty afterwards and—"

"Tatsumi," Y/n interrupted, "you're nowhere close to ever being called a man. What you did to Esdeath to impress your little friend..." y/n grabbed him by the shirt, "was very little from you. I respected you for not betraying your team and sticking to what you believe, even after someone like Esdeath came across your path. But after you embarrassed her in front of your friend, when you could have told her the very first day that you don't feel the same for her," Y/n clenched his fist and hit Tatsumi's face and kicked his stomach, "you don't deserve any respect."
