The night is colder outside the capital. It's perhaps because the people that wander all night keep the warmth.

He finally got a hold of some cigarettes. He gently lifted his head up high and blew the smoke and saw it fade away into the windy night.

Y/n wondered how it is that no village was near. Someone has to come across some small village when coming around these areas. Unless... of course, Esdeath had them eliminated. Although she can take down thousands of people it'll be unnecessary to take out a village.

"Enjoying the night breeze?" Esdeath said, walking out with a dark blue sweater and a black pants with rubber boots on.

"Going somewhere?" Y/n asked and threw away the cigarette.

"We're out of firewood," She said, holding out a solar lantern for light, as she closed the door.

"I'll help," He said and followed her up a hill not far from Esdeath's place.

"Here," The general said, and set the lantern on a cutted tree trunk. She took the axe that was leaning against it as Y/n rolled the logs to her.

"Allow me," Y/n offered help once again, "I have small experience but I can handle it."

"Alright. Go ahead and try," Esdeath smiled and handed the axe over to him.

"This is pro splitting I promise," Y/n chuckled, causing Esdeath to giggle as he lift the axe and cut the log into half.

"It is indeed!" Esdeath and Y/n giggled. It took half an hour to finally get all logs cutted.

"They'll probably be of good use, I've had them there for months now," Esdeath informed as Y/n smiled. He held both buckets of wood with each in each hand and walked down the hill.

Everything was okay when something came running out the trees causing Y/n to startle and fall along with the buckets.

"Are you alright?!" Esdeath called as the male groaned in pain.

"Yes, where did it g—" when he lifted his sight he saw a black and huge figure with glowing, red eyes watching down at him.

It jumped and fell on top of Y/n, ready to attack but luckily he had something to defend himself. Using the firewood to place it between the danger beast's mouth, Esdeath stabbed it from behind with an ice sword.

Y/n pushed the beast aside and rolled over and got up.

"That was close," Y/n said and held on to his arm.

"Are you—"Esdeath held his arm, "you may have gotten hurt with the firewood."

"It's nothing, I've gotten worse," Y/n replied and smiled.

"Danger beast...this side of the forest," Esdeath looked around, "it's very surprising."

"You don't see much around these parts?"

"Not one," The General stepped on the beast and hummed, "if there's one, there are more further into the forest."

"Are they hunting? Or fleeing?"

"Whatever they are doing around these parts is concerning," Esdeath spoke and sighed, "let's go back."

"Yes, I want to remove these clothes that've been stained," Complained Y/n.

They walked back and the first thing y/n did was to take a bath, because he doesn't have any clothes for now he simply wrapped a towel around his waist.
