"You have just started reading, Leone-" Akame replied, making the blonde girl roll her eyes.

"Anyways, that's not important right now," Mine interrupted, "Akame and I decided to rescue Tatsumi tomorrow, stay here and keep the boss busy, I don't want her trying to stop us–"

"Who said I'll be stopping you?" Najenda said walking into the room, "we're talking about a member of night raid's in the hands of the enemy."

The day was sunny and bright at the capital, the people at the colosseum were cheering at the young emperor as he approached his audience. He lifted his hand and immediately everyone went silent.

"Citizens of the empire, as of late, there seem to be those who instil fear into your hearts by preposterous rumours about taking down the Capital. However, there's no need to lend your ears to such rabble-rising. Here, today, we will execute a member of an insurgency known as night raid, which have terrorized the public time and again. The conspirators are the rebel army's vanguard. The rebel army that is responsible for our current state of chaos. Deceiving innocent citizens for their own self-interest, they are villainous assassins."

The cheers of the people got louder at hearing the emperors' announcement as a tied up Tatsumi on a cross rose from the middle of the battle arena.

"No one has the right to infringe upon the peaceful lives of the empire's citizenry," proceed his speech, the young emperor as he held on to this golden staff and raised it up high to the audience, "The empire! The capital is indestructible!" He exclaimed receiving the support of his fellow people.

The young emperor walked to his throne and glanced over to Y/n, who seemed to be anywhere but on earth.

"Y/n," the emperor got his attention, "I'll leave the rest to you."

Y/n looked over at Tatsumi who was tied to the cross and slowly looked back to the emperor.

"You know what to do, Y/n," The prime minister said and displayed an awful grin which made Y/n look away in disgust.

He nodded and waited for the emperor and the prime minister to leave before he made his way down to the arena.Making his way down the stairs to the arena, he was suddenly stopped by a worried voice.

"Y/n!" He looked to the ground before he turned around to meet with a pair of sadden, blue eyes.

She pulled away quickly, breaking what was an intense and passionate kiss. Y/n quickly opened his eyes at the sudden unexpected action.

"Esdeath, I've given up trying to hide it," he gave a faint chuckle and looked to the floor, "trust me, I tried my best to ignore how I felt for so long. I just had it already," he slowly looked back at her with a, now, gloomy face, "My biggest fear was that I'd lose you. Being the closest person to you, the person you'd trust blindly, and depend on without a second thought...heh... who'd want to give up that?" Y/n slowly faced down again. Whatever was her response, he promised to refuse to let down a tear.
