Kim Sunoo's POV

"Yah, have you heard?" a voice asked.

"What?"

"Do you remember the figure skater from before? Some said they have seen him somewhere near the university." She continued.

My heart suddenly started beating hard. No one's name was mentioned, yet I reacted this way...

"No way, are you sure it was him? Isn't he pursuing Medicine abroad?"

"I'm not so sure..."

My eyes shot open.

I have been constantly getting these dreams again ever since the day he left. This time, I know exactly who it is about.

I constantly thank the heavens it was just a dream. But what if it was true? I have never heard from him since the night we last spoke to each other, I believe it was all his father's orders.

"He probably found someone better anyways." I unconsciously said aloud.

Fuck him.

Now I wouldn't know how to react or even feel when he really is back. Though it was already years ago, my mind can't help but think of him.

I stood up and stared at the wall, holding my head as I reminisced the voices I heard.

"Oh, Jungwon!" I thought immediately.

I haven't heard anything from his confession yesterday since I crashed as soon as I got home.

"I hope everything went well...," I whispered as I hurriedly opened my phone to call him.

"Won! So, what happened?" I asked as soon as the other line picked up.

I was expecting a scream, or an excited Jungwon to tell me how it went, but all I heard was silence.

"Won? Ah... did you get rejected again?" I concerningly asked. To be very honest, I hate it when my friends experience these kinds of things since I have experienced feeling hurt as well.

Silence.

"Yah," I called again, bringing a glass of water to drink. "Fine, I think we should just talk about this on another day. Are you free tomorrow?" I asked again, now lowering my voice.

Was it really that bad?

"Fine, I know what you need." I held my phone between my shoulder and ear to prepare food for myself. "Let's drink?" I excitedly asked.

"Don't drink too much, Sunoo-yah." A familiar voice spoke on the phone after a second.

My whole body froze. Fuck.

My phone then slipped from my shoulder, falling on the ground.

That voice.

Was that...no, it can't be.

I immediately placed my plate down on the counter and picked my phone up. Shoot, the screen now had a huge crack.

"Woa, great. Now my phone is broken." All I can do now is sigh. I could not even make out the words on the screen.

"Can this day get any worse?" I groaned, still looking at my poor phone.

My whole body was still in shock, covered in shivers, just because of hearing his voice for the first time in so long.

Did I call the wrong person, or was he with Won? If not, did I accidentally break my phone for imagining things?

"Sunoo-yah..." I repeated his words, "Did he ever call me that way?" I thought.

Then again, I caught myself thinking about him.

"Ahh...why can't I just forget about that man?" I let out a defeated sigh.

I hurriedly went to eat breakfast just to divert my attention to something else than him.

"No, this won't work," I told myself as I finished eating.

I dressed up comfortably, wearing a white shirt and a purple padded jacket since it is quite cold outside. I walked out of my unit to take a short walk, just to keep my mind off of the events that happened earlier.

"Ah, I need to get my phone fixed soon," I thought before stepping out of my unit.
