Kim Sunoo's POV

"Sunoo." A notification flashed on my screen, catching my attention as soon as I left the bathroom for a shower.

"Hoon?" I thought.

It is quiet weird, though. Because of the endearment he has been giving me these days, I guess him calling my name is something I still have to get used to if he decides to drop using nicknames.

Suddenly, I felt that this matter might be serious.

Right after pressing and opening my messages, another text comes.

"We have to talk. I have to tell you something."

This suddenly made me nervous. What might it be? Will he be leaving right now? At this very moment? I might not be able to take it.

After a good minute of staring and overthinking his intentions, I typed away.

"Sure! What is the matter? Will you come here?" I shakily pressed the send button before facing my phone down, still scared of his possible responses.

It is already far past noon, still patiently waiting for the reply I am anticipating. Earlier this morning, I hesitated making a call since he might have texted for a reason. But right now, I might just press call as I am getting worried.

"What's taking him so long?" I questioned, resting my face against my palm over the counter.

Upon hearing my phone vibrate, I immediately unlocked it, only to see our group chat active with Jungwon and Riki's messages.

Jungwon: hyung, hyung!

Riki: sunoo hyunggg

Jungwon: hurry up! why won't he read?

Riki: sunghoon hyung just got into an accident, where are you hyung!!!

Finally opening our group chat, my eyes widened upon reading what Riki said.

Fuck.

"Hoon." I whispered under my breath as I collected my things. "Please be okay."

I then started a group call to easily get information about Hoon.

"Fucking hell, just get to the point!" I panicked as I stumbled to press on the elevator buttons, waiting for the two to give me specific instructions and details about Hoon.

It's Hoon that we are talking about here, for fuck's sake, yet the two kept rambling about other matters.

"Hyung, we just sent you the location. Keep safe, hm?" Jungwon said, a hint of laughter in his voice.

What the hell's funny?

I pulled my phone away from my ear and checked the location they sent.

As the elevator opened, I immediately stepped out, accidentally bumping into someone I least expected to see.

"Shi— Sangwon?" I held onto his arms as we met eyes.

"Sorry, I'm in a hurry right now." I said hurriedly before continuing on my way, but stopped when he spoke.

"Sunoo?" I looked back at him, his voice flat. "Good luck." He said, giving me a small smile before stepping in the elevator.

Good luck? For what? He sounds like he is sending me abroad to reach my dreams or something. It gave me chills.

I shook my head, reverting my attention to the location Won sent.

On my way there, it somehow felt familiar. Too familiar.
