I blink my eyes open to the light seeping in from the windows, reaching out an arm to grab onto Cameron. The bed is empty, though, and when I look around the room he's nowhere to be found. Slowly, the events from the night prior sink into my brain. Losing my virginity, and almost being caught by Ethan, everything floods in at once, and my head begins to spin.

Turning onto my side, I wince at the shooting pain between my legs but am instantly rewarded with a little note written to me on his bedside table.

Getting us breakfast, he wrote in his chicken scratch handwriting. Take this in the meantime.

A glass of water and an Advil pill is sitting in front of the note, and I smile as I gladly take the pill and chug the water completely. I'm not sure if I want to deal with all of the questions when I go home today, but what I do know is that what happened last night between Cameron and me made it completely worth it.

I go ahead and make the bed for him, and then I go around and pick up my underwear from the floor. I'm looking for my dress until I suddenly remember that it's all the way out in the hallway.

God, last night was incredible.

He must have left a while ago because the door to his bedroom opens and he emerges with two McDonald's bags. His eyes scan up and down my body, growing darker as he takes me in. "Well, good morning to you too," he says with a wicked grin. "I thought I was hungry for food, but maybe I was wrong."

"What'd you get?" I inquire, feeling my stomach rumble. After all of the working out last night, I'm famished, and as much as I'd love to have sex again, I need to eat first.

"Your favorite," he says. "A number one with a French vanilla, sugar-free iced coffee."

He knows me so well. Even after all these years, I realize how much he's always paid attention—like how my order changed from an orange juice to an iced coffee when I got into high school. He never stopped caring, even when I thought he did.

"I love you," I say as I open the bag and immediately dig into my hash brown, groaning at how good it tastes.

"Don't think I'll ever get tired of you saying that," he says as he takes a sip of his Sprite. "I love you too."

He's never been a coffee drinker, and I smile because I know him like the back of my hand, too. I say his order to myself mentally as he pulls the items out one by one from the bag. A big breakfast, and he always gets an extra pancake. We spend the next ten minutes eating, and when we're all finished I throw away my bag in the trash can of his bathroom, blushing when I see all three condoms piled up inside.

"I'm going to take a shower before we head to my house," I say with a sigh. "I don't want to go back."

"I know." He comes into the bathroom to throw away his bag too, and he rubs his hands up and down my arms, attempting to calm me down. "It's going to be okay, Mads. They believed the story, alright? They aren't mad at you."

I nod and lean over to turn on the water, but despite his encouraging words I still feel the nerves twist up inside of me.

We won't be able to keep this up for long. The more we keep this going, the more obvious it will be. I can't be at school and not want to talk to him. I can't pass him in the hallway and not feel his touch. It's going to be so hard, and sooner than later one of us is going to mess up. Someone will see, and this thing between us will be ruined.

"Stop overthinking." Cam comes up behind me and places a gentle kiss on my shoulder, and my skin is on fire just from the contact. How is it that from just one kiss I'm already better? How does he distract me this easily?
