It was like a magnetic pull
Pulling me towards you
And it caught me off guard

You were supposed to bring beauty in my life
Bring a smile to my face
But as time passed by
Your fragrance became too familiar
And the pain you caused was too often
When I met you I thought you were different
Dear Oleander..
You were poisonous
One taste is all it took
You were poison to me
Not afraid to kill my soul
To kill my happiness
Dear Oleander..I wish I had known before
Known that one leaf is all it took
