"I can't believe you're going to be on your way home tomorrow! I miss you so much." Liz faked a crying face, making Leila smile for the first time that day.

"I can't wait to be there." She wanted to sound alot happier than she was but the whole ordeal from the night before was fresh and she was still licking her wounds.

Leila moved away from where she had propped up her phone, afraid that if Liz looked at her too long she'd be able to see that something was wrong.

"How does Joon feel about you guys leaving?" Liz asked.

"I'm sure he's going to miss Mia and I know she's going to miss him." Leila looked at Mia across the room, who was playing with the toy car Jungkook had given her.

"What about you? Are you going to miss him?" That was a loaded question and Leila took her time trying to find the right way to answer it without sounding like she hated him. "Whats wrong Leila?" Liz asked when she realized how long Leila was taking to answer. She knew her well and from the moment Leila picked up her video call, Liz could tell something was bothering her.

Leilas eyes were red and swollen, like she'd spent quite some time crying. Her demeanor was downcast and unlike her usual self. Leila wasn't a walking rainbow but she was talented at hiding her true feelings. This time around, she wasn't even trying to sound upbeat but Liz did note how much Leila kept walking away from the camera.

"Nothing, why?" Leila lied trying to put forth her best poker face. She didn't want to be as hurt as she was. She had learned a long time ago not to base her self worth on other people's opinions of her but the fact that that's what he thought, broke her heart.

There was no way of him knowing her past, that he was the last person she had slept with, or even how deep those words had truly cut but she had simply expected more from him.

"It's funny how you think I don't know you better than you know yourself." Liz rolled her eyes. "What happened?" She pushed again.

Leila breathed deeply and took a seat in front of the phone. "He's just not what I expected." She looked down and picked at her nails. "I'm not what he expected either I suppose."

"What does that mean?"

Leila shrugged. That familiar tightening settled in her chest. Leila swallowed hard trying to fight her tears. "He's afraid of people finding out about Mia, I just expected him to be alot braver and he probably expected me to be more understanding of him." Leila had to lie or Liz would have made good on her promise to hang Namjoon by his balls.

Leila had been labeled as trash most of her life and she'd done her damndest to climb out of that dumpster, but it seemed like she couldn't run away from the title. Even someone like Namjoon, somehow managed to remind her that it was all she would ever be.

She used to think she was constantly reminded of that because it made people feel better about the way they treated her but maybe it was because it was true. Maybe she did have a certain air about her.

Maybe that's why fourteen year old Leila was held down on a couch and taken against her will.

If the world keeps telling you that that's what you are, maybe it's time you believed it.

"You're crying." Liz informed solemnly. Leila hadn't even felt the tears begin to fall. She grabbed one of her shirts out of the suitcase and dried her face. "Why aren't you telling me the truth?"

"It's nothing important."

"Then why are you crying?"

Leila shook her head softly and gave Liz a pained smile. "I just want to go home."
