Glory looked down at her talon. Blood seeped through the gaps between her scales. Deathbringer did that. He did exactly what he was trying to protect me from. Does he hate me that much? He broke my heart, now this? Greatness chose just that moment to swoop down and visit.
"Long time, no see, Glory"
"That's Queen Glory to you."
"Actually it's not. Technically, since you said if anything ever happened, Deathbringer would take charge which gives you no royal authority until Deathy resigns." She's right. Well, at least it's Deathbringer taking care of the rainforest, and not Kinkajou. The dragonet was capable, she just had the attention span of a goldfish. Why do I still trust Deathbringer? He left me for this. She mentally gestured to Greatness
"What's wrong, RainWing? Jealous?"
"Deathbringer deserves so much better than you."
"And I suppose you're suggesting he deserves, you?"
"I-no.. I-mea-"
"I don't. I don't deserve Glory, but I do know for a fact that Glory is right. I do deserve much better than you, and that is why WE WERE NEVER DATING IN THE FIRST PLACE!" A certain smug assassin chimed in.
"What? You weren't? I thou-"
"Glory, there is only one person I love and that's you. You are my whole wor-" He was cut off with her kissing him.
"I love you too, Deathy."
"And that is the last time we fought." Glory finished.
