✨ Part 3: If This Were a Fairytale ✨
TW: mentions of abuse, cruelty
It's been two weeks since Lily left for her trip, and it's been the best two weeks of your life even if you've been working everyday at the restaurant, you've still had time to hangout with Tom and Kate like the old days.
"Look at that one!" Tom points excitedly at the boat that was very far for one to see with their own eyes.
Kate looked through the binoculars and made a clicking sound with her mouth, "it's a dinghy boat."
Today was Sunday, you were enjoying it with your friends, sight-seeing down at the pier where they sold food, desserts, drinks and there was a dog event in the park as well.
"Let's go get some food, I'm starving." You feel your stomach rumble as you put your sunglasses on, the only pair you own.
You wore a cute skater and some converse with a small backpack, you only wore these clothes when you knew the three evil devils weren't in the same city, so you finally wore something you like without living in fear that they'd spot you and make you feel awful for even being born.
Tom wrapped an arm around you, and Kate wrapped an arm around Tom, so he walked with two girls under his arm. He was grateful for the both of you, his only two friends who he truly cared about and Ned, of course.
"I like this look on you, Y/n." Kate says as she pulls a chair out, the three of you take a seat by the water waiting for the waiter to come and take your orders.
The day was absolutely beautiful, the sun was warm and there was a cool breeze to the air.
"I'm gonna go get a selfie by the water to send to Aunt May." Tom takes his phone out of his pockets, stealing away from our table.
"This place is amazing," Kate breaths in, taking it all in, the view, the moment.
"Dad took me here to tell me I got accepted to NYU, way back when," you smile sympathetically, nodding your head down.
"You miss him?" Kate whispers, squeezing your hand.
You stayed quiet, changing your mood, and wiping the tears from behind your sunglasses.
"So what do you want to eat?" You ask, looking down at the menu, completely changing the subject.
Kate was looking around when her eye caught on a group of college hotties sitting adjacent from them.
"I wish the guys at my school looked like that..." she motioned behind you and you saw a group of guys all laughing, empty bottles of beer in front of them.
"...might even stay close to home if that meant I'd see those kind of..." her voice cuts out as you notice the blonde in a yankee hat,"....guys...like that..."
"We have to go," you close the menu so hard it tumbled off of the table, "now."
Kate grabs your arm before you could get the chance to walk away, like you always do, it drives her crazy.
"What? Why? This is is your favorite place to eat."
"Let's go Kate, I-I can't be here," you try to move from her grasp but failed.
"Why?!"
You sigh as you turned your body towards her, "because the guy I told you about is here."
"No!" She doesn't believe you, "which?" She smiles excitedly at you, looking over your shoulder at the boys, "which one?!"
