IN THE BEGINNING...
...before the six Singularities and the dawn of creation, came the CELESTAILS. Arishem, the Prime Celestial, created the first sun and brought light into the universe. Life begun, and thrived. All was in balance.
Until an unnatural species of predator emerged from deep space to feed on intelligent life — they were known as DEVIANTS. The universe was plunged into chaos.
To restore the natural order, Arishem sent ETERNALS — immortal heroes from the planet Olympia — to eliminate the Deviants.
Eternals had unyielding faith in Arishem until one mission, led by the Prime Eternal, Ajak, changed everything...
"IT IS TIME," said Ajak, eyes opening wide.
At those words, Calista's eyelids fluttered open, where dark brown eyes landed on a Eternal opposite herself, who she couldn't place. In the middle of the Domo, the statue of Arishem stood with eleven Eternals surrounding him.
Calista did not have time to look at the ten who was to join her on their journey to Earth. Having awoken, Calista stood, walking towards the back of the bridge of the ship as she approached the golden frame on the wall.
Still silent, Calista stood with her back pressed against the wall, finding the gold swirls comforting as they wrapped around her chest. The gold met in the middle of Calista's chest, forming a glowing orb that her uniform then appeared from. From that, the gold started to fade, the armour turning a teal and blue.
Yet, still, a hint of gold remained in the circled imprints that were embedded on the armour.
After, Calista stared down at her hands, understanding who she was but finding that she was looking at everything for the first time.
Calista was an Eternal from the planet Olympia. They had been sent to Earth by their Prime Celestial, Arishem, to protect the planet from the Deviants, as well as aid in shaping the evolution of the species that populated Earth. Once done, then could they return to their home planet.
Now, once ready, the eleven Eternals dispersed around the Domo to prepare themselves for their arrival on Earth. Calista couldn't help but feel excited, not just for their mission, but to also see a new planet for the first time. Questions whirled inside Calista's brain, leaving her fascinated to find out everything she could.
Mesmerised, Calista stood by one of the many windows of the Domo, staring at the foreign planet. It was beautiful in multiple shades of blue, green, and brown with a hint of white that floated within the atmosphere. Calista wondered how humankind lived on the planet and whether it was just as stunning once Calista had stepped for on the planet.
Currently, they were far from the planet, yet it wouldn't be long until they would arrive.
A second person joined Calista, where her head turned to see who it was out of curiosity. Calista had not introduced herself to anyone yet, but now she was curious. The Eternal who stood next to her was radiant with a smile. Calista couldn't help but smile too.
