Chongyun sat down at his desk, staring at his fully cracked computer. Fuck. The realization was only hitting him now. It must've broken on the plane ride here. "What do I do now.." He sighed, covering his face with his two hands. He peeked at his laptop screen through the cracks in between his fingers. It felt like he had tried everything for it to turn on, but maybe he didn't? Yun flipped the laptop upside down and removed the battery for only a second or two before putting it back in. The laptop rang. Chongyun's eyes widened. "Pleaseeee." He hoped. He turned the laptop back around and pressed the turn on button for 3 seconds before letting go. The laptop logo popped up on the cracked screen. "YES!" He rolled back to the other side of the room in his chair. "But the screen is so cracked... How expensive is it gonna be to get it fixed? And how long will it take to fix..." He thought for a while. After a minute or two, he had wrote a plan for tomorrow afternoon on his planner.

August 28th/Monday:
- Class at 9:40 3B building 6 !!!
- Research jobs
- Get computer screen fixed
- borrow headphones + biochem book from library

Chongyun looked past the cracks on his screen to check the time. It was 10;08. He rubbed his right eye, turning his chair to the kitchen snacks. Yun got up and grabbed a small pack of cookies before jumping into his bed. Tomorrow was gonna be one hell of a day.
"Xingqiu!!!!!! Mom said you have to drive me to school today!" Xiangling yelled from the living room. It was only 8;30... Xingqiu complained loud enough for her to hear. He was already up, but it was still a bother to have to drive her. He's a light sleeper, so if someone's awake in the house, it's most likely that he is too. Xingqiu reached the front door and put on a pair of old sneakers. "Grab me a snack, please." He asked Xiangling. "Mhm!" She grabbed a bag of goldfish and headed outside. Xingqiu started the car, "You brought goldfish..?" He glared at her, "You know I don't like goldfish." Xiangling giggled, "Sorry! But it's not like you hate them!" Xingqiu rolled his eyes, pulling out of their driveway, "Play some music from my phone." He suggested, yawning after his words.
After about 20 minutes of driving, they reached her school, Xingqiu parked next to where her friends were standing around. "Xiangling!!" They greeted her, "Oh and Xingqiu!!" Xingqiu rolled down the window while Xiangling gathered her stuff to leave the car. "I heard you got into JLK!! I wanna go there when I grow up..." One of her friends started. Xingqiu laughed, "Well, you're only 2 years away from your senior year, focus on your grades." He smiled at them. I think one of them even blushed a tiny bit. Xingqiu's, honestly, pretty attractive.
He drove back home and unlocked the front door, "I'm back!" He shouted for his mom to hear. "Hi!!!" She greeted him from the kitchen. "Oh sorry, I yelled since I thought you were in your room." He started to take off his sneakers, "What're you making?" "Eh, just some scrambled eggs. I woke up pretty hungry. Want some?" Xingqiu headed over to the kitchen, "Yes please!" He smiled. She placed a full plate in front of him, "Eat up! Today's your first day." She smiled at him, turning back to grab a serving for herself. "Thank you." He started eating, "My first class is at 9;40, I should get ready soon." He thought outloud. His mom smiled, "You know, on my first day of college I was soooo nervous. I could only wish to be as calm as you are right now." Xingqiu laughed, "I'm still pretty nervous though?"
Yun got to class 20 minutes early, he didn't really plan to, but there he was. The class wasn't as empty as he expected though, I guess everyone was feeling nervous. He sat down around a group of guys, and a group of girls in-front of him. Basically, in the middle of the room. He set out his laptop, it was kind of embarrassing to walk around with a laptop in such a condition. He just went on his phone for the remainder of the time, no one around him was really socializing. Xingqiu entered through the back door of the room, he was about to sit close to the door when he spotted a light blue haired boy on the opposite side of the room. He smirked to himself as he struggled to the other side. An occasional "Sorry" Or "Excuse me" Echoed through the dead silent room. Xingqiu sat right behind him. He just stared at him for a while, the nape of his neck was pretty tan.. But from what? There's no beach back in that town. Did Chongyun finally like working outside instead of spending his days playing games inside? Obviously Xingqiu! It's been 10 years, Omg get over it. He kept thinking to himself. How was he even gonna approach him. Soon after, the lecture started, thought it wasn't all that interactive. It was just the professor explaining stuff and future projects they would participate in. He ended the class at 11;30, just in time for Xingqiu to start his shift, in 5 minutes. Xingqiu hurried out of the room and passed a few campus buildings before reaching the library. He entered the building. "Hey Xingqiu! You're just in time, my shift basically just ended." One of his coworkers greeted him from the reception desk, she had her purse of her shoulder already, ready to leave right when Xingqiu entered through that door. "Hey! You can leave now, I'm ready to take over." He sat down on a chair next to her. "Alright then, Bye!" She ran out. She really did not hesitate. Xingqiu smirked to himself, pulling out his own laptop and placing it on the desk to try and organize his schedule. He heard the door open a few times but he didn't really bother looking up, it took a lot of effort to stay concentrated on such a boring chore. "Hello, could you scan this for me?" Chongyun asked him. "Ah," He paused for a moment, "Yea, student ID?" He grabbed the book. "Right here." Yun smirked, shocking Xingqiu a little. He didn't really need his ID, I mean, he knew his name by heart. But, why not? "Oh, did you take Biochemistry this morning aswell?" Xingqiu made quick conversation while typing down the name of the book. He already knew the answer. "Oh, yeah. You too?" "Mhm." He handed him the book. How obvious does he have to be for Chongyun to recognize him? "Is that it?" "Ah, no. Could I also rent these headphones?" Yun asked. "Yea, just let me see what brand they are... Alright!" Xingqiu smiled. Yun politely smiled back, "Okay, thanks. I'm gonna go study by those desks." He unnecessarily added. "Okay... Bye." Xingqiu waved. He had failed to tell him, again.
