Kicked Out

With a slight headache, you walked up the porch from the Chateau. Grabbing the door handle, you wanted to swing it open but to your surprise, it was locked. Damn it. You didn't have a key. As a matter of fact, you didn't know anyone had a key because this door was always open.

Seeing you had nowhere else to go, you sat on the couch which was on the porch. With a sigh you lay down, thinking about what just happened. Your parents kicked you out. They were angry with you always sneaking out and never letting them know where you were. It was obviously because of the pogues, your mom never liked that you were hanging with 'these people'. So you argued with them which escalated quite a bit, causing it to end up in yelling and screaming.

When your mom was done with it, she said that you could grab your stuff and never had to come back ever again. Reluctantly, you packed your things and walked over to here. Because there was always someone home or the door was always open. Not this time.

While you were lying on the couch you felt your eyes getting heavier. Even though it was pretty cold outside and you forgot a jacket, you fell asleep not much later.

After his shift, JJ walked up to the Chateau. He had a shitty day at work, again. But he frowned when he saw you sleeping on the porch. He wondered what you were doing outside since it was quite cold and you didn't wear a jacket.

He squatted in front of you and carefully woke you up. Your eyes opened and you looked confused seeing JJ here. "JJ? What are you doing here?" You asked as you sat up.

"I better ask you that. What are you doing outside? Aren't you freezing?" He rubbed your arms. You shrugged. "The door was locked." JJ walked over to the door and unlocked it.

"Come inside." He held it open for you and you walked in. Instantly welcomed by the warmth.

"What were you doing here though?"

He walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge. Taking two beers out. You followed him and leaned against the counter. "My parents kicked me out" you said and looked down.

JJ's eyes widened a bit. "Oh shit, I'm sorry." You shrugged your shoulders. "It's okay. It's not that I liked being there." He handed you a beer. You thanked him and took a sip.

It was silent for a moment. "You okay?" JJ asked, breaking the silence. You nodded, avoiding his gaze.

The truth was, you didn't know if you were okay. Every time someone asked you this question, you just said yes. But right now you didn't know it anymore. The conversation you just had with your parents kept replaying in your head. You never thought they would actually kick you out of the house.

"You sure?" JJ asked, making sure. You couldn't say it again. So you honestly shook your head. A few tears falling down your cheek. JJ immediately placed his arms around you and held you close to him.

"It's okay" he whispered.

Feeling comfortable in his arms you hugged him back and cried in his chest. Finally admitting to your true feelings. It relieved you.

"You're gonna be okay. I'm with you." JJ comforted you. He pressed a soft kiss on your head.

You stayed there as long as you needed. After what felt like forever you let him go. "Sorry" you apologized, wiping your cheeks.

"No, no. Don't apologize." He cupped your face and stared directly into your eyes. You know you can tell me anything anytime, right?" You nodded. JJ smiled small.

"Good" he said and placed a kiss on your nose.
