Alexanders POV

Agathokakological (Adjective) – Composed of both good and evil.

-

Diana had been begging me to attend the party in Dèsire tonight for days.

Eventually, I gave in thinking I would just hook up with a random girl to pass the time.

The party was boring as expected. We arrived late as Diana took three hours to get ready so I had to wait for her.

I was getting a drink from a table when something caught my eye.

It was a silver necklace worn by none other than Azura Starling.

I watched her as she descended the stairs into the common room in awe.

I hated it but I could not deny how beautiful she was. The dress she wore hugged her body making her more desirable than ever.

I hated that she was so perfect. The one girl I should hate was the only girl in this school who caught my eye.

Her family has done treacherous things to mine and my kingdom. Her father ex-wife murdered my older sister for God's sake.

I watched her as she was pulled along by Adelphia Cross in her drunken state.

"She looks disgusting don't you think? Green is not her colour in the slightest." Diana appeared next to me.

"Huh? Oh yeah," I reply not listening.

I couldn't take my eyes off her once again. There was just something about her I couldn't ignore. Something in my head, telling me to run towards her.

"Do you want to dance?" Diana interrupts my thoughts.

"Not really, ask Anwir I'm busy"

"You're not busy at all! Whatever, have fun drowning your sorrows in, whatever your drinking" She huffs as she walks away

My eyes fall back onto the black-haired girl, and I watch as she becomes overly friendly with Lex Moreau once again. I honestly don't know what she sees in him.

I realise my drink is empty once again, so I turn to refill it. Once I turned back, she had vanished.

As I scan the sea of drunken and messy students, I see her making some arrangements with her brother before she sneaks out the door, thinking she was unnoticed.

I take this opportunity to follow Azura and see what she is really doing at my school since Diana and Anwir are nowhere to be found.

Once I reach the hall she's gone once again.

But I wasn't planning on stopping my search here. I bend down and place my hand directly on the cold pavement. "Invenies Azura Starling" I mumble.

.A pathway then glows in front of me that only I can see, tracking her footsteps.

-

Finally, the pathway leads me to the headmaster's office. What could she possibly be doing there?

I hold my hand on the door muttering the unlocking enchantment and the door clicks.

I creak the door open and see her standing by Hicks' desk.

"What do we have here?" I lean up against the door frame.

"I was just- looking for Headmaster Hicks. But she's not here so I guess I'll be off" She tries to dismiss herself

"Not so fast Starling," I stop her, "why were you near her desk?"

She shrugs, "I thought she may have left a note on her whereabouts.".

"Well then, what were you to ask her? Perhaps I could help."

I knew she was lying; she was looking for something. Her empty hands, however, suggest that I ruined her little raid.

            "It's personal" She blurted

"Even better, I wanted to learn more about you anyways. So, what's the big question?"

Azura was flustered. She looked cute when she was flustered. Me staring down at her made her nervous.

"I lost my timetable, so I needed a replacement."

"That I can help with" I smiled as I walked over to Hicks' desk and grabbed the student file folder.

I search for her name and take out a copy of her timetable in the sleeve titled 'Azura Starling'.

            "There you go" I smile

"Thank you, Alexander," Hearing my name from her made my heart skip a beat. Her voice was daring and dangerous.

She tries to leave but I pull her back. She looks at me confused, "Is there something else?" She asks

"I know you didn't need a spare timetable" I placed my finger under her chin, lifting her head, "I'll keep your secret, this time. So don't let it happen again."

She smirks, "No promises. But I must ask, are you always this touchy with the other students, or am I just special?"

She was special indeed. "No, but not all students here have holes in their background story. I've already told you that you intrigue me, Starling"

"I think there's more to it. Are you hiding something from me, Alexander?"

"Why would I be hiding anything?"

"Because the look in your eyes isn't the look of someone who was just in need of information." She analysed my eyes before turning around and leaving, once again.

Why must she always leave?

What did she mean when she said that your eyes don't look like someone in need of just information?

How could she possibly know anything about me I didn't already know?

But then again, she was right. I was hiding something from her.

Azuras' POV

Swiftly exiting the office, I make my way to a dark and empty corridor.

There's no way I could get to my common room without causing suspicion from my friends.

So, I'm going to teleport.

I had done it many times at home, so it shouldn't be a problem here.

I close my eyes and visualize my dorm room and chant "traiceret me dorm room"

Once I open my eyes, I find myself back in my dorm room in one piece. Thankfully.

I then sit on my bed where I find the book I had sent from Professor Hicks office using a spell just before Alexander had stormed in.

"Why does she have you hidden under her draw hm?" I sigh at the book, "Why would the Headmaster of Everett Academy need a book on blood link rituals?"
