Five years.
Mai had been there for five years.

Four without Kai.

And two as their champion.

Mai was about fifteen now.
At least she thinks she has no way of telling what day it is.

They only way she can mark the passing of years is her joining ceremony.

Everyone in Ring B has one.
On the day of their first fight, they fight in a "special" more challenging way, to prove that they are still strong enough to fight.

Last year Mai fought four people.
But Amaya Keiji has yet to tell what she'll be doing today.

The door opened and a man in a mask came in.
He was the one who has been escorting her everywhere for the past few years.

"Hi Dave."
Mai greeted.

Was the man's name Dave?
Probably not but he rarely says anything and has never answered Mai when she asked so he is nicknamed Dave by her.

"Fallen angel, Mr Keiji wishes to speak with you. Follow me."

She stood up.
"OooOOOooooOoO what's the occasion?"

On her first ceremony she met him again but not her second or third.
So what was the occasion?

As usual Dave didn't say anything.
Mai walked next to him eyeing the security cameras in every corner.

Mai could kill Dave right now but Keiji was likely watching her right now ready to click that button.

But then again maybe he wouldn't kill her.
As the champion she made him big bucks every month.
Who would kill their own money maker?

Not him he'd find a different way to punish her.

Dave lead her to a door.
He opened it but didn't walk in himself.

Mai shrugged and walked through seeing Keiji sitting at a desk.
His dark brown hair was slicked back and he was in a white suit.

"That's a pretty ugly suit bro."
Mai greeted the man she hated.

"Ah Angel! There's my investment!"
The dude was always super grossly cheerful.

Like his hands weren't dirtyed by the blood of hundreds.
But I guess they weren't, physically.
Physically Mai's hands were the dirty ones.

"So what the hell do you want?"
Mai crossed her arms.

"Oh come on angel! Can't I just say hello?! You know I see you as my own daughter after our five fantastic years!"

Mai rolled her eyes.
"I'd hate to see how you'd treat your actual children."
She sat at the chair infront of his desk like she owned it throwing an arm over the back of the chair and manspreading.

"But your are right."
He said ignoring her comment.
"Remember how your trainer always says make the fight long and bloody?!"

Mai nodded bored.

"Forget that just this once."
His expression changed into a very serious one.

Mai raised her eyebrow.
"Why?"

He folded his hands together.
"I need you to end this as quickly as possible, a little blood would be great to... Do it like that one match with the blood woman remember that? It was like four years ago!!"
He started acting like a child again.

Mai's expression darkened.

"That was a one time thing."
She mumbled glaring.

"We'll make it a two time thing okay sweet heart?"
