The raucous cheers of the crowd still echoed in the air as Blind Channel exited the stage, their adrenaline pumping and hearts soaring from yet another electrifying performance. As they made their way backstage, the band members—Joel, Niko, Aleksi, Joonas, Olli, Tommi, and Aleksi—were greeted with cheers and applause from their crew and friends who had gathered to celebrate. Among them was me, their good friend, Y/N, who had come to support the band and join in the post-concert festivities.

POV: Y/N

I exchanged hugs and high-fives with the band members, their laughter mingling with the lively chatter of the crowd. Joel's grin lit up the room as he caught sight of me, weaving through the throng of people to reach me.

 "Hey, there you are!"

he exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug.

"I'm so glad you could make it."

Returning Joel's hug, a wide smile spread across my face.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world,"

I replied, excitement bubbling in my voice. As the night progressed, the after-party kicked into full swing, with drinks flowing freely and music blaring in the background. Joel and I found ourselves caught up in conversation, our voices rising above the din of the party as we reminisced about old times and shared stories from our respective lives.

"So, how have you been?"

Joel asked, taking a sip of his drink.

I shrugged, a hint of uncertainty clouding my expression.

"Honestly, I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately. Work's been hectic, and I've been dealing with some personal stuff."

Joel's brow furrowed with concern.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Grateful for Joel's offer of support, I smiled.

"Just having you here is enough,"

I replied.

"But if you could distract me from my thoughts for a while, that would be great."

Joel nodded, determination gleaming in his eyes.

"Consider it done. Let's go grab some drinks and find a quieter spot to hang out."

Together, we navigated through the crowded room, eventually finding a secluded corner where we could talk without being drowned out by the noise of the party. As we settled into our seats, Joel poured us both a drink, our conversation flowing effortlessly as we caught up on each other's lives.  As the night wore on and the alcohol began to take its toll, I started to feel a sense of unease creeping in. The crowded room felt suffocating, the noise overwhelming, and soon, a wave of panic washed over me, leaving me gasping for breath. My chest tightened with each rapid heartbeat, my breath coming in short, shallow gasps as I struggled to maintain control. The cacophony of voices and music seemed to close in around me, amplifying the intensity of my panic. I noticed Joel's concerned gaze on me, his concern growing with each passing moment.

"Hey, are you feeling okay?"

I forced a smile, but it faltered almost immediately.

"I...I don't know. I just...I need to get out of here."

Understanding flickered in Joel's eyes as he nodded in agreement.

"Okay, let's go somewhere quiet."

Without hesitation, he guided me away from the chaos of the party, his steady presence a source of comfort amidst the storm of emotions raging within me. As we made our way through the throng of people, my heart pounded in my chest, each step feeling like an eternity as I struggled to keep my composure. My vision blurred with tears, the weight of the panic threatening to overwhelm me entirely. Finally reaching the relative calm of a nearby hotel room, I collapsed onto the bed, my breath coming in ragged gasps as I fought to regain control. Joel sat beside me, his hand resting gently on my shoulder as he offered words of reassurance and support.

"It's okay, Y/N,"

he murmured, his voice a soothing balm against the storm of panic raging within me.

"You're safe here. Just focus on your breathing and try to relax."

I nodded weakly, my chest still heaving with the remnants of my panic. Closing my eyes, I focused on the steady rhythm of my breath, willing myself to calm down as Joel's comforting presence washed over me like a warm embrace. Minutes passed like hours as I struggled to regain my composure, the panic gradually receding with each slow, steady breath. Eventually, the tightness in my chest began to ease, the overwhelming rush of emotions slowly subsiding until I was left feeling drained and exhausted.

"Thank you, Joel,"

I whispered, my voice barely above a whisper.

"I don't know what I would do without you."

Joel's gaze softened with tenderness as he reached out to gently squeeze my hand.

"You don't have to thank me, Y/N. I care about you, and I'll always be here for you."

As we sat together in the quiet darkness of the room, I felt a sense of gratitude wash over me, grateful for Joel's unwavering support and understanding. And as I leaned into his embrace, seeking solace in the warmth of his arms, I knew that I was exactly where I needed to be. Hours passed as we talked, our conversation ranging from lighthearted jokes to deeper discussions about life and love. Joel shared stories from the road, recounting memorable moments from their time touring with Blind Channel, while I listened intently, hanging on to his every word. But as the night wore on and exhaustion began to take its toll, my eyelids grew heavy, and before I knew it, I drifted off to sleep in Joel's arms. As dawn broke, I awoke to find Joel watching over me, his gaze filled with a tenderness that took my breath away. At that moment, everything shifted, and I realized with startling clarity the depth of my feelings for him.

*a month later*

A month passed, filled with stolen moments and lingering glances exchanged between Joel and me. And then, one crisp autumn evening, Joel took me out on a date, the city bathed in the soft glow of streetlights and the promise of new beginnings. Over dinner, beneath the canopy of stars, Joel poured his heart out to me, confessing the depth of his love. And as we gazed into each other's eyes, bathed in the soft light of the moon, I knew that we had found something truly extraordinary. At that moment, amidst the quiet beauty of the night, our love blossomed, a beacon of hope illuminating the path ahead. As we embarked on this new journey together, hand in hand, I knew that our love would weather any storm, standing strong against the tests of time.
