The others were devastated once they were filled in on Sophie's rage and music. Even more so when they heard about her living on the streets with a dog named Midnight.

"I want to come," Grady said firmly.

"What?" Linh asked- still processing what Grady has just said.

"I want to come with you to the Forbidden Cities. I need to see Sophie... even if she can't see me," Grady replied, straightening his tunic.

"Same," Edaline said.

"I too," Mr. Forkle added.

"I'm with them on this one," Alden agreed, gesturing to Grady, Edaline and Mr. Forkle.

"So just to get this straight," Fitz confirmed, "Everyone in this room is going?"

Everyone nodded.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Keefe asked.

"We have to pick up some disguise elixirs." Mr. Forkle said, glancing at Dex.

"Ok. Hurry up though!" Biana whined.

Once they were in the forbidden cities, there was the usual crowd.

"Over there," Dex said, pointing to the crowd.

Linh, her friends, and the adults ran over to the crowd and shoved their way through, to find Sophie once again, back facing the crowd with her black guitar, but this time with her dog, Midnight.

*Cue music.

'Cause baby, now we got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love
So take a look at what you've done
'Cause baby, now we got bad blood (hey!)

Everyone started to clap their hands and stomp their feet.

Now we got problems
And I don't think we can solve 'em
You made a really deep cut
And baby, now we got bad blood (hey!)

The adults' eyes went wide as she turned around.

Did you have to do this?
I was thinking that you could be trusted
Did you have to ruin
What was shining? Now it's all rusted
Did you have to hit me
Where I'm weak? Baby, I couldn't breathe
And rub it in so deep
Salt in the wound like you're laughing right at me.

The crowd roared.

Oh, it's so sad to think about the good times
You and I

And there it was. The jaw-drop of the century.
