Over and Under the Moon

Chapter One ~Willow~

~Willow~

"Knock! Knock! KNOCK!" the sound of someone knocking on my door woke me from my dreamless sleep. "Willow! Wake up now it's important!" my Beta Sapphire was now yelling through the door. "Okay! Okay! I'm up!" Opening the door, I see an annoyed red head hands on her hips glaring at me. "I've been trying to wake you up for twenty minutes bitch! Alpha Derek of the Moonlight pack is on the phone for you in your office" Those words immediately put me in my Alpha mode. Not expecting his call and not wanting to keep him waiting I throw my hair in a bun and head to my office.

~In Willow's Office~

"Alpha Derek this is Alpha Willow what can I do for you?" getting right to it as soon as I answer the phone. "Alpha Willow I was hoping to set up a meeting to discuss a possible alliance? We've grown in numbers in the past several years and with the rouge attacks going on recently I thought an alliance between our two packs would be beneficial for the both of us since we are practically neighbors." I thought for a second before responding, "Let me think about it today, and tomorrow you and a few of your people can meet with us for lunch tomorrow to discuss further details and I will let you know my decision then." He was silent a moment "That sounds like a good plan to me, it will be four of us for lunch tomorrow see you at noon." With that he hung up, good a man of few words just the way I like it.

Right after the call I mind linked Sapphire and Tony to meet me in the office.

"So, what did Alpha Derek want?" Sapphire asked after her and Tony took their seats in front of my desk. "He wants to form an alliance with us" I said with a bored tone. "And that bores you why?" Tony replied "It's not that it bores me per say, it's just that I don't need some Alpha male coming in acting like he knows better. I've worked my ass off to get the same respect as a female and I won't lose it because of an alliance." They both seemed to think for a minute before Sapphire spoke "I don't think Alpha Derek is like that, the packs best warrior and trainer is a female as well as I think his mate might be the pack doctor. The choice is at the end of the day yours Willow, but I don't think an alliance would be a bad idea." Tony spoke up as well "I agree, plus they are only an hour away from us so why not?" I thought about everything they said, they are my Beta and third in command for a reason. I respect their opinions and always take what they say into account. "Okay then we will form the alliance tomorrow at noon over lunch, Alpha Derek and their others will be here, so I expect the both of you there as well. Now I'm going to change for training anything else we need to talk about?" With both nodding no I headed to my room to change.

~Training~

Training was one of my favorite things to do, and the training I did was brutal. Usually, four or five hours a day. Start with a 10-mile run in human form and then end it with a 15-mile run in wolf form. Everyone capable of training trained in my pack, warrior or not. No one would be left helpless if a rouge was to attack.

"This is the last mile everyone keep up." I mind linked the group running with me. I pickeda new group to train every week that way I could see the progress of the wholepack. "YES ALPHA!" 

~After Training in Willow's Office~

I was sitting at my desk filling out some reports with Sapphire when she asked a question that I wasn't expecting. "Willow do you not want a mate?" Looking at her with a shocked expression "What made you ask that?" I mean I know why; I wasn't actively looking for my mate, and I never talked about it. "Will, you are 25 most find their mate at 18 and it's not like you've once even mentioned the possibility of a mate." She has a point, "Sapph, becoming Alpha at 15 didn't really give me the opportunity to run off and find a mate let alone entertain the idea of the distraction of a mate. If it happens it happens but I'm not broken without one." She sighed "I just want you to be happy Willow and to have someone who helps you with the Alpha duties, NOT saying you can't handle it, but everyone can use a helping hand." I smiled at her, because she was my best friend, and she did care truly. "I know Sapphire and when the Moon Goddess wants it to be it will be, until then I'm afraid you are stuck with only me. Now come on let's get to dinner." Getting up we both headed out of the office and towards the wonderful smell of dinner coming from the dining room.

The pack members sitting down waiting for their Alpha to arrive to start eating, a sign of respect. Sitting down at the head of the table a glass of whisky already waiting for me. "Eat everyone" and with those two words the room exploded in noises of people passing dishes, talking, eating, just having a good time.

Dinner was a must attend in Willow's pack, everyone showed up and participated they were all a family, and no one was left out. She never wanted someone to feel unwelcomed or unwanted. Her parents were big on family blood or not and that's how Willow is.

~After Dinner in Willows Room~

Getting ready for bed after dinner Willow for some reason seemed more on edge than ever and she couldn't figure out why. Even her wolf Tate was feeling anxious all of a sudden.

"Tate what's going on what's wrong?" "I don't know Will, but something is different, it feels like something is about to happen soon, I just don't know what." "Hmm well I'm going to bed wake me if something happens. Goodnight" "Goodnight, Willow."
