Dove's POV

Darius put me down gently on the bed and placed a small kiss on my cheek. Kai walked in a few seconds later and he went straight to me and rested his head on the mattress next to me. He closed his eyes and just moved to snuggle closer to me.

"Daddy?" Darius hummed and wrapped his arms around me.

"Will you tell me more about you? And the kingdoms? Do all the kings have dragons like Kai? Do all of the dragons do the stuff Kai does?" I started rambling questions and Darius chuckled.

"Slow down, we'll go one question at a time" He placed a small kiss on my kiss and forehead and practically made me lay above him, which I accepted wholeheartedly and of course, Kai moved closer and I just giggled, and lay my hand on his snout.

"It is said that dragons have been here longer than humans, they ruled over all of the creatures of the earth, and their color meant different things but mostly their ranks. Silver dragons were the most powerful ones but those are practically a myth, next are the black dragons, which are extremely rare too, and since there are no silvers, they are the most powerful ones, and after black ones are red, gold, and blue those are the ones next to kings, but there were also pink, green, orange and all kinds of colors but those went extinct..."

"But then how do dragon masters exist?" I interrupted him, confused.

"I'm getting there, little brat" He narrowed his eyes at me and I blushed.

"As I just said, dragons didn't have masters but it is said that the Silver dragon and a wizard made a deal. The wizard was scared for his people, for humanity, their cruel men and kings destroying everything and he was trying to find a solution and he came up with one, he risked his life by going to the dragon's territory to which they had retreated to live in harmony away from humans, the wizard didn't know what he was going to encounter, many stories talked about dragons being as intelligent as humans or even more so, but others told about them being savages but he knew he had to try. He found the silver dragon and made him a proposition, to bind dragons and humans somehow"

Many years ago...

The dragon's territory is what humans like to call the gates of hell, it was as far away from them as possible, it was said to be as hot as hell and almost impossible for any human to cross but he wasn't entirely human, Alatar felt as if his heart was about to burst out of his chest as he approached the dragon's territory, he knew the silver dragon already knew he was there, he was the most powerful for a reason and that made him the more uneasy. He chanted a small spell to fly across what looked like to be lava and as he landed on the other side and a second later a dragon that looked as big as a mountain stepped through the fog, he was silver, with crimson eyes and Alatar instantly bowed and showed him his neck, trying to show he meant no harm.

"State your business here, wizard" Someone spoke but the words weren't spoken they were in his mind and he shivered at how weird that felt. Behind the silver dragon, the shadows on the other dragons could be seen, they were ready to attack and protect their home.

"Thank you, Silver dragon" Alatar almost stuttered, but kept his composure as best as he could. Two dragons stepped out of the shadows a black dragon and a gold one, the black one was a little bit smaller than the silver one but big nonetheless and the gold one was the smallest of the three but scary as fuck.

"There's a war..." Alatar started but was interrupted.

"Not my war and not a concern of mine" The silver dragon spoke into his mind.

"Please, just hear me out" The dragon just stared at him and he took that as his cue to continue.

"Many innocent people are dying, it needs to be stopped and you are the only ones that can help," Alatar said, his voice sounding begging. "And we both know that humans won't stop there, they'll come here, trying to conquer you and that's where my proposition comes in"
