Belle's POV :

Its been a week since I've started working at Starship Enterprises and, to be honest, I'm absolutely loving it. I've become friends with Mrs. Eliza Brooks, the old lady I met on my first day. She's a very sweet lady, who is apparently working with the Agnellos for about 40 years. She's the only friend I have made, along with Mr.Hannigan. He's may look strict, but once you get to know him, he's a big softie. I tried befriending some other girls in the office, but I couldn't stand the bitchiness and excessive use of perfume and makeup, resorting me in sitting with Mrs. Brooks for lunch.

Not that I mind it. Her husband's a chef, so I get to enjoy various delicacies everyday.

"How could eat just one sandwich, child ? You need to eat more, you look like a malnourished kid", Eliza chided, giving my cheese sandwich a disgusted look.

What she said was true though. Sometimes, I get so much work that I would forget my lunch. And when I go back to my room, I would be so tired that I sometimes slept without even changing my clothes.

"Here, have some pasta."

Eliza offered me some chicken alfredo. Not having the heart to refuse such a delicious looking dish, I scooped some on my plate and took a bite.

It tasted as delicious as it looked.

Wolfing it down in seconds, I drank my tea, giving out a loud burp.

"Now that's how a filled stomach should sound", Elize boasted proudly.

Smiling sheepishly, I continued with my tea, listening to her stories about the Agnello house. Apparently, she worked as a maid in the Agnello's mansion before she came to work in the company.

"I've raised Eros on my own since he was a kid. Alexandro and Iris, Eros' parents, would work all day, so he was left in my care."

Hearing Eros' name brought a blush to my face.

"I'm happy that he has turned out to be such a great person, even after facing so much in his life", she retorted, a bit sadly.

"Why ? What happened?", I asked, curiosity lacing my words.

"When he was 13 years old , his younger sister, Erika, died. She was the apple of his eye. They were very close, doing everything together. They were joined at the hip,one never seen without the other. He cherished her, gave her the world. The death of his sister hit him hard when it happened. Poor soul."

I felt my heart break for the kid who lost his sister. That must've been a very sad period of his life.

"When he recovered, it was like a part of him changed. He became more serious, started excelling his academics. He topped his class in Harvard University, for business management, receiving his degree in honors. He became the perfect son, but there is still a part of him that misses his sister. He started going out less, would just keep to himself. It would be surprising, if he did anything else than work. That kid has become a workaholic at such a young age", she shook her head, sadness on her face," Look at the time, child. The lunch ended 10 minutes ago. Come on, back to work, chop chop."

Getting back to my desk, I couldn't help but feel bad for him. He is such an accomplished person, but no one knows the hardships he faced. Losing a sibling must be heartbreaking. I don't know about the sibling bond because I'm an only child, but knowing such personal things about Eros makes me feel a bit closer to him. Who would have known that such a successful person would have such a tragic and sad past.

Shaking myself out of these thoughts, I continued with my work, eager to go home, since its Friday, skype time with my folks.

Done with the last file, I took them up to Mr.Hannigan's room, which looked like as if a tornado came and hit him. His desk was covered with mountain of papers and files. There were files on the floor, all astray.
