Chapter 6: New Behavior

Don/Professor Williams POV

After picking up 1104XX's medication, I headed back towards his cell. I was hoping to run into Y/N again and ask her if she'd consider my offer. Though, it isn't the best idea, due to the fact she hasn't trained in red zones yet. Is that selfish of me? Who knows. I turned down one of the halls that entered into the red zones.
"Professor Williams." Someone said.
I looked over and saw Doctor Ericsson.
"Hello, Doctor Ericsson. Need something?" I asked, stopping.
"Moreso I need to tell you something. I was just in with patient 1104XX. I was called down by Cheif Henry. 1104XX was having a breakdown/panic attack, so Cheif Henry had me attempt to calm him down while you were gone. But, patient 1104XX kept muttering something under his breath and was refusing to look over at me. I could barely make out what he was saying but it involved something with the name, Y/N. Isn't that one of the doctors in the yellow/green zones?" Doctor Ericsson explained.
I stood there slightly shocked.
"Yes. Y/N does indeed work in those zones." I said.
"Oh. Has 1104XX ever come in contact with her?" Doctor Ericsson asked.
I shook my head. I then pulled out Y/N's file.
"He did steal these the last time he escaped though. And well, refused to give it back." I explained.
"Strange behavior." Doctor Ericsson muttered.
I handed 1104XX's medication to Doctor Ericsson.
"I'm going to talk to Y/N. You give 1104XX his medication. Also, take Y/N's files and see if he finds any interest in them." I explained.
Doctor Ericsson nodded and headed towards 1104XX's cell. I headed back towards the yellow zones where Y/N would be.

Y/N POV

I had just got done visiting with one of my yellow zones patient's. I was walking towards my office, jotting down notes and and other things about my patient's behavior.
"Y/N." A voice said.
I looked up and saw Professor Williams.
"Hello Professor. What's up?" I asked.
"I was wondering if you could come with me to my office for a moment? I have a new offer for you." Professor Williams explained.
Ooo~ A new offer? Maybe I'm gonna be fully transferred to yellow zones.
"Of course." I said.
I followed Professor Williams to his office. Once we got there, I sat down and Professor Williams also did so.
"Have you heard about the incident between patient 1104XX and his doctor?" Professor Williams asked.
Oh no... This is the offer.
"Yes. I have. Not the whole story, but a majority of it." I said.
"Well, 1104XX has been with our hospital for awhile. He hasn't made much progress though. Some may say he's gotten worse. But anyways, I was curious if you'd like to be his new doctor. I know it'd be a huge jump, but I see something. I feel like you'd definitely be able to help him make progress." Professor Williams explained.
"I... I don't know, sir. Like you said, that's a huge jump. And I don't know if I'd like to put myself at risk." I said.
"I get it. If you chose to though, you'd be getting a raise. A big one to be exact. But I don't wanna force you." He said.
"Can I think about it?" I asked.
"Of course. Take your time to think, Y/N." He said.
"I will. I'll try and get you an answer soon." I said.
"Ok, thank you. Now, I better get back to work. And so should you. Thank you for your time, Y/N." Professor Williams said.
"You're welcome, sir." I said, standing up.
I exited the room and headed back towards my office. I sighed. The offer sounded great but... I don't know.

Don/Professor Williams POV

After that I headed back. I was almost there when Cheif Henry ran over to me.
"Professor Williams! I need you to come with me now." Cheif Henry said.
I nodded and followed him. We walked over to 1104XX's cell and Cheif Henry pulled out some keys.
"Doctor Ericsson is currently in with 1104XX. But he gave 1104XX a file and the patient showed immediate interest, unlike last time." Henry explained.
Cheif Henry opened up the door and we walked in, closing it behind us. 1104XX held the file close to him, staring at the picture of Y/N in awe.
"I've never seen this type of behavior from him, Professor." Doctor Ericsson said, looking over at me.
"Me neither." I muttered, slightly shocked.
"I tried with other files too, like Doctor Shelby did, but he shows 0 interest in any other file. But, it doesn't make sense since 1104XX has never came in contact with Doctor Y/N." Doctor Ericsson explained.
"It indeed is strange." I said.
