Chapter 28: Shopping With Friends

Y/N POV

It's been 2 days since the night I had found Henry hurting poor Peter. Doctor Ericsson said he'd talked to Don, but said he refused to do anything other than suspend Chief Henry for a week. Which he did. After sitting him down and talking to him. Benjamin has been in charge of red zones temporarily. Which I prefer. It was around 4:53pm and I got a call from TK, waking me up from a nap.
  "What's up?" I yawned.
  "Oh... Did I wake you? I'm sorry, I hope this isn't a bad time." TK said, apologizing.
  "Nah it's fine. I just was napping." I said.
  "Ok. Anyways me and Lucy are going out before I gotta go to work. Wanna join us? I also think we start work at the same time. Right? 9pm?" They asked.
  "Yup. And sure. I just gotta get ready." I said.
  "Ok. Me and Lucy will be outside your house in about 25 minutes." They said.
  "Got it." I said before TK hung up.
I sat up, and walked over to my calendar. I looked at the days, just to make sure TK was right about my time. And they were. I then got ready. After that, I waited in the kitchen till the others arrived.

TK's POV

Soon enough, we had arrived at Y/N's house. Lucy honked the horn repeatedly till Y/N came out.
  "Come on! We have shopping to do!" Lucy said.
I chuckled as Y/N hopped in.
  "Yeah yeah. You're too energetic for me right now." Y/N said.
Lucy took off towards town.
  "How was work last night?" I asked.
  "Other than the part where 12054X made a drawing of me being strung from the ceiling by whatever that creature is, it was fine." Y/N said.
  "He's just trying to be nice." I said.
  "I don't know. That seemed like a death threat to me." Y/N said.
  "Everything I've heard about patient 12054X makes him sound pretty laid back and chill. Despite his creepy drawings." Lucy said.
  "It's a coping mechanism." Y/N said.
  "I mean it only makes sense." I said.
  "Otherwise I really like him. He's a super easy patient and cooperates very well." Y/N explained.
  "Sounds easier than most of my yellow zones patient's." Lucy said.
  "How's 1104XX's wound? Is it healing good?" I asked.
  "Oh yeah. It's healing just fine." Y/N said.
  "That's good." I said.
Soon we made it to the down town strip mall. Lucy parked and we got out.
  "So where do yall wanna go first?" Lucy asked.
  "Coffee sounds good about now." Y/N said.
  "Agreed." I said.
  "Ok. Off the to town cafe." Lucy said, taking the lead.
I laughed a little and so did Y/N.

Y/N POV

After about an hour or so of hanging out at the Cafe, we made our way to one of the cute clothing shops. It was a family owned buisness called Ted's. Simple. Just that. But they had adorable clothing and more. We walked in and Lucy immediately bolted to the shirts section.
  "Oh geez. She's gonna come out of here with 18 bags." TK said.
  "Tell me about it." I said.

Peter's POV

The time ticked by slowly. I hated this. Though I do have to thank that stupid doctor for getting rid of Chief bozo or whatever the fuckers name is. Whether it was temporary or not, I had enough fucking time to break out again. I was attempting to tear down the cameras again, but then I heard the door open. I jumped in fear, falling off the table I had pushed over towards the camera. I groaned in annoyance, looking over and seeing Don.
  "Getting into trouble now, are we 1104XX?" He asked.
I growled, looking away.
  "Do you ever wanna get out of that jacket or no?" He mumbled, walking up to me.
I stood up and glared at him. He frowned and grabbed the sleeves of the jacket, attempting to fix it. I struggled to get out of his grasp but... I gave up. Mostly due to the fact Y/N was gonna be here soon. She mentioned something about coming in early to talk to this jack ass.
  "Keep it on now. Doctor Ericsson is bringing your meds. I came in to notify you that Y/N will be coming in earlier today. Though she may be later to visit since she needs to bring 12054X to the clinic for his check up. So please, behave." Don explained.
He then exited the room. My Y/N was going to be late to see me because of some other patient? What the fuck! Can't they go by themselves!? Why the fuck does she need to go with him!? I snarled in frustration.

Y/N POV

Soon it was time for me to leave. Lucy had brought me back to my house, TK staying with me though.
  "So I'm heading in early, is that fine with you?" I asked.
  "Sure, why not. Also, Y/N. I got you a little something." TK said.
  "Oh you did?" I asked.
  "Yes." TK said, reaching into their pocket.
They pulled out a tiny little box and handed it to me. Inside the box was a ring that was covered in tiny diamonds.
  "Awe thanks TK." I said.
  "It's also one of those fidget rings. It spins. Obviously. You probably already knew that." TK said, smiling shyly.
  "Oh nice. Thank you. I mean it." I said, putting it on.
  "Yeah no problem. I just noticed that lately you've been more fidgety and on edge you could say. Especially whenever 1104XX is brought up. H-he hasn't hurt you? Right?" TK asked.
Oh gosh.
  "No. Of course not." I said.
TK gave me a slightly concerned look but it disappeared as they let out a chuckle.
  "Good. Good. Now shall we go?" TK asked.
I nodded. We then left my house and headed towards the hospital in my car.
